Corporate America has best quarter in US history as real unemployment rate soars

www.rawstory.com

Even amid the most turbulent economic conditions since the Great Depression, US corporate profits are at an all time high, according to a Tuesday report [PDF link] by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.

At the same time, America's poor and middle classes are under siege, with a mostly stagnant job market that has shown only marginal signs of improvement.

In spite of meager growth in some sectors, the real unemployment rate remains high, at approximately 1 in 5 Americans.

Gee, who'da thunk it?!?

Let's see, how many wall street fraudsters and criminal banksters are now pulling the strings of our gov?

Endless bailouts money funneled to these already obscenely rich bank and corporate CEO heads, endless taxpayer dollars being funneled into perpetual wars and funding of war corps and the M.I.C., and in the mean time the average joe is struggling more and more just to survive.

That is, if they are even lucky enough to still have a job.

Something is, and has been, very, very wrong with this picture for sometime now.

Welcome to the corporate states of America. Land of the greed.

This is exactly why we need to extend tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. It's pretty obvious that they just aren't making enough money to create jobs. Perhaps if they continue to make record profits...after a few years...they will throw us a bone.

Everyone talks about how many government jobs are created per dollar spent...and rightly so...perfectly fine.

Now let's talk about how many jobs have been LOST to PROFIT GAINED.

A lot of their success comes from outsourcing jobs and overseas manufacturing.

Damn the American people, cheap foreign labor, little or no regulations or restrictions on foreign manufacturing (especially in China)... Corporate America goes where it can make profit.

The US has become an increasingly unfriendly environment for manufacturing and labor... What do you expect them to do?

The US can either change policies to affect the above, or continue to push corporate America to the outsourcing of manufacturing and labor. So far they seem determined to continue to push and while it seems that corporate America is doing well, this is ultimately transferring wealth from the American people to the rest of the world. It is the culmination of the Globalist agenda to redistribute the wealth of the U.S.A.

It is what it is.

It's going to get worse until enough wake up to what is REALLY going on here and real "change" is made.

Until then, enjoy the unemployment checks and other great benefits.. while they last.

Not at all... More like land formerly where labor was more necessary than it is today, now all business needs from our populace is to be consumers... Now granted some of that consumption has been on the backs of tax payer fund unemployment checks, but in order to create jobs, you must not ask how do i get a job, you ask, how can I be a producer... How can I provide a service or product OTHER than labor, that will in turn of course necessitate that I hire people...

But everyone is looking for a job instead.... It's simply ridiculous... This whole monster has feet of clay... And the BS stories people tell themselves about how victimized they are keep them from being anything greater than that...

And the American working class still gets it in the (**
What does the average American have to show for that record profit?

1. more lost jobs
2. longer hours
3. attempts to increase retirement age
4. TSA Groping (ok just had to throw that in somewhere)
5. lower wages
6. part time employment
7. reduction of jobless benefits
8. an insurance bill that doesn't make insurance more affordable but does make you buy it
9. the destruction of savings so that the elite can reap the benefits of taking your property for pennies on the dollar
10. a bunch of rich a-holes laughing at you all the way to the bank where they own you and your property.

And in the mean time....

Holiday cheer: Congress set to let jobless benefits expire

Unless Congress acts by Nov. 30, an estimated 2 million people slated to receive extended benefits will not get them on time, if ever. And Congress is taking this week (Nov. 22-26) off for a Thanksgiving recess. Congress reconvenes on Nov. 29.

If lawmakers don't extend the benefits, it will be the third time this year that they will have missed a deadline to do so, even though the nation's unemployment rate, at 9.6 percent, hasn't budged since May. Earlier this year, after Congress failed to extend benefits before deadlines, jobless workers got retroactive benefits once legislation was passed.

This is a no brainier. The middle class jobs are being outsourced at such a rate that they are no longer able to produce them in America anymore.

We already know this recession was a scam for many reasons, and one of those reasons was to hide or obscure the reality that the job market in America is permanently crippled because of outsourcing. Indeed the outsourcing has ruined the middle class but fattened up the corporate pigs tremendously.

And the American stupid sheep vote in the tea party Republicans the most slavish puppets of the corporations!

Folks WE ARE FINISHED, DOWN FOR THE COUNT!

Hey I remember this policy, it was the old Ronald Reagan Republican trickle down effect plant.. You know, the very rich feeding us plebians table scraps every once in a while. Gotta love the haves as opposed to the have nots! They're so benevolent after all.

One possible light at the end of the proverbial tunnel in all of this is I see a LOT more folks waking up and beginning to question what is going on, if for no other reason than such questioning being born out of necessity, through their own lives having been affected by this class warfare being waged upon us.

So perhaps there will eventually be a silver lining in all of this, as more people awaken, and no longer sit on the sidelines, allowing themselves to become victimized by policies that have been obliterating the middle class and putting the poor into an even further bracket of suffering and strife.

One thing I think the vast majority of us can agree on---The system as it is, is NOT in the best interests for the vast majority of the populace, not even remotely so. Some serious house cleaning is in order. In fact we may need to get rid of this house altogether, and rebuild a new one from the ground up. lol

I wish that were the case here, but in fact the percentage of people "waking up" is so small as to be insignificant.

The general public are completely apathetic, easily distracted, manipulated and generally don't care. They are quite happy in their oblivion.

Channel surfing cable television and updating their twitter and Facebook pages.

Those who are unemployed are easily controlled through government benefits.

The people are not waking up, don't fool yourself.
