I've been working in central London today, at canary wharf..
Currently they are building a new train station here and there seems to be a huge amount of security at the site. The police are checking all vehicles entering and leaving.. I've been here a few times in the past and have never seen this level of security before..
I know canary wharf has been targeted before and not sure if it's true but an employee on the site told me that there have 13 terrorist attempts foiled by security services in the last few years..
Has anybody out there heard about any security threats to London? Or what our current threat level is?

Can,t find anything about Canary Wharf but the threat level for the UK is severe.
Unfortunately it does not say where the likelyhood where an attack will take place.

Thanks for the link... Seems a little strange, but then again could be nothing..

This is looking like a response to other European terror alerts, and 2 terror alerts involving aircraft.
Also the threat level from Irish terrorism is substantial, which would be a factor to consider

Those darn Daleks and Cybermen are fighting again.
No, seriously, the may have had some intel that they are following up on. Perhaps the media will cover it later. However, if it is current, it may not have received coverage yet. There certainly is nothing on the BBC.
