Dont know many details yet. Just came across on breaking news.

Anyone here from that area or the Southwest Pacific in general?

I believe there have been a few quakes there recently.

Yeah, it nearly missed the land... close to the shore. It is being recorded as being 45 miles down, so I don't expect too much damage from it...

I see. I wasnt very familiar with the geography there. I looked it up afterward and realized not too much at risk.
I also noticed that since 1990 there have been an uncountable number of quakes there.
I guess not very newsworthy.
