So maybe she is experimenting in pushing boundaries.

Maybe she went to a brothel to make money for a drug problem? Does she do drugs? All 16 year olds do.
Maybe she has fond a guy who is adventurous and dangerous and asked her to get a car so they could go away together. Some girls are susceptible at this age.

Maybe she has been kidnapped by someone who has been watching her for a while. Check her room for a diary!!
MAybe she ran away because she has had enough of your family. teens are quite emotionally retarded and take all manner of things too seriously or not seriously enough. Maybe your constant droning on of the American downfall pushed her to going to the CIA and reporting you for being a suspected terrorist.

All these are legitimate reasons.
