What the heck was South Korea doing firing artillery shells anywhere near North Korea???

Why would they provoke a country with such an itchy trigger finger? It's almost as if they want this to happen.

this is it in a nutshell

(Reuters) - North Korea fired scores of artillery shells at a South Korean island on Tuesday, killing two soldiers, in one of the heaviest attacks on its neighbor since the Korean War ended in 1953. The barrage -- the South fired back and sent a fighter jet to the area -- was close to a disputed maritime border on the west of the divided peninsula and the scene of deadly clashes in the past. South Korea was conducting military drills in the area at the time but said it had not been firing at the North.

Now bombs are dropping

SK president is SUPER PISSED and US won't do a damn thing.

Hey Einstein the Korean war never ended.
Any provocation the South Koreans and US deems worthy of retaliation will warrant a hotter exchange. North Korean intentions have been known for decades. The ball is in our court with regards to how and if we respond.

The South Korean President needs to ensure no retaliation resorts in a nuclear missile coming over the border. It is likely, with American intelligence via spy satellites that the South will launch some kind of response. US will need to ensure that a nuclear war doesn't result though.

How do we know FOR SURE, that these shells came from North Korea and not from elsewhere? Again, we have to take the media's word for it and the corrupt governments word. I believe they were from another source, just trying to get a conflict going to distract us once again. I for one, will not buy into this BS. For all we know, South Korean militants could have done it from the northern border along North Korea? We don't know fro sure and we may never know. Another Gulf of Tonkin affair.

Well, actually we do know.
North Korea has admitted they did it.

That's because you never, ever take anything for what it is. It has to be some pessimistic theory that the U.S. was the one that fired onto this Island. How come you don't think the S. Koreans did this to themselves? Why just the U.S.?

I'm sure if mexico was running war games on how it was gonna invade the US. right on its border. American's would be all for america using some force to show mexico its not a good idea. This is pretty much what south korea was doing and N. Korea showed them whats up.

Sorry I actually have to take the North's side on this one.

If the news reports are saying it is artillery
and it is indeed rockets, then they are lying.
Artillery shells are not rockets.

There's a difference between lying and being mistaken. The media in this case is either mistaken or chose to continue using the word that more people can identify with.

RON PAUL just said in an interview
He thinks it is most likely a staged invent courtesy of military industrial complex to prop up the dollar
so Boon is right to be questioning things like this
and those who don't after all the evidence that supports questioning aren't

Well, I went to sleep, had a nice dream and return to this thread to find out not much happened... I think this is as bad as it's going to get and feel better about act 2 seeing as we most likely won't see any escalation. Just more condemnation.

How can this be staged though? Explain how this can be staged. I believe North Korea really did this and are crazy enough to do this.

That doesn't make any sense since N. Korea obviously admitted that it was them, since they said the South fired first.

/facepalm

It's like with false flags. We'll probably never know. The damage is what counts, the rest is sheer speculation.

the op fits a profile

and we NEVER ever should take anything
for what it is or have you forgotten the CIA motto:

"NOTHING is ever as it appears to be"

THAT is why I think like I do.

Ok,
First question: who's Ron Paul?

Second question: why must everthing be a conspiracy involving the US government?
