I'm sorry but that is an idiotic statement. A hero has to engage in some form of action to become a hero. Being to scared to run usually results in some one becoming a corpse. Rarely does it result in heroism.

A hero holds on for one moment longer to do what has to be done while potentially sacrificing his life, liberty, comfort, or desires. A hero is not the person cowering in fear of the challenge at hand.
