I fail to see how thats relevant at all.. Obviously they had reasonable suspicion if they were checking your friend for drugs in 1997, probably a drug sniffing dog or something to that effect. I dont think anyone is really argueing that enhanced patdowns are wrong when theres reasonable suspicion that the person is doing something that breaks the law. Thats not what happened here, or whats happening in america now, they are just xraying/feeling up random innocent people, which doesnt even enhance security at all its just security theater.

Perhaps a 'Stiff Protest" could be organised - gathering support from as many males as possible who are intending to fly on a given date..

..then armed with an alluring pair of cycle shorts or for fun a spiderman suit (both at least 1 size too small)
one or two Viagra tablets and perhaps a quick swig of Dutch courage in the airport lounge and then make sure you get it all on Youtube, guaranteed to make the news

Joking aside though.. the only way this extreme nonsense will be resolved is by hitting the guilty parties in THEIR sensitive areas, their pockets.

If you can avoid flying - don't fly..
If you must fly try to avoid spending any money in the airport - it's all revenue
We all have husbands, wives, relatives and friends who work in the airline industry in some way so
Show support for airline staff... planes tend not to fly without pilots and ground staff
Show support for those frequent business flyers who's corporations may have the ear of Washington.

The airlines will soon be lobbying the same politicians who would like have cloth ears if ordinary citizens were to complain, if their shareholders are getting hit hard. Keep your cash and make them think.

I know that many of you will disagree with me , but I believe that all drugs should be legal and even supplied by all gubberments, this would eliminate most crimes and help to keep a check on users, thus health issues would be monitored and lives may be saved, there would be no need for drugs like crack and other #, just the good pure gear.

Checking peeps for drugs on a plane is not about groping them , when it is easy to conceal stuff inside a body, women do it in false boobies. No touching needs to be done to ascertain the concealment of summit illegal, Thats a psychological ascertainment thing, a good security agent is trained to pick a guilty person.

The TSA will tell us that we are being protected and fully believe that they are doing a good job, but the truth is that we are being herded into the fear game. U.S citizens you rights are being eroded!!!

BTW I dont do drugs, I have smoked pot in the past but not anymore

And while I think of it, This TSA thing is really going to affect your tourism, good luck over the xmas break

its necessary to pat down? i think its only necesssary to stand thier and watch everyone and seeing everyone gets on the plane safe. airline pilots dont even make over $40,000 a year anymore..ide question the actual safety fo the construction of the planes. with a lpace like TSA doing what they do..i wouldnt trust less than substandard service, thinking if this is how they act and think..anytime the plane could fall apart from stupid neglegence in flight* F them

I agree. Despite all of this terror that goes on, flying is still by far the safest method of travel.

Wouldnt it make more sense to have road blocks every few miles and have mandatory searches, breathalyzers, urine tests, and run a K-9 around the vehicle?

I just cant wait for someone to get caught in the airport keestering a weapon of some sort. People do it in prison every day. The day someone gets caught at the airport you better get ready to spread those cheeks!

If a terrorist wants to blow up a plane, they dont even have to be on it. You can roll up pretty damn close to the runway at LAX and if you have a Taliban issued RPG you could easily make short work of a few planes. People need to man up and stop being so god damned frightened by the world, after all, its always been a crazy place.

Everyone is going to die sometime. Personally, I'd rather it be quick.

Please dont mistake my post as being supportive of any terrorist act or group. I just think that if I'm going to die, being blown up sounds a little better than suffering with cancer for a year

Your shortsightedness amazes me. Maybe one day when you have to have some random dude do a cavity search on you, so that you can go to a public public place, you'll wake up. "cry babies"? I think not. You see people who need to conform out of FEAR and i see people who are "pissed as hell" and are about ready to "not take it anymore".

I'm flying next month... I bought my tickets before the scanners were implemented. Whats your grand excuse as for why i should have to go through the scanners that weren't mentioned when i bought said tickets?

Instead of groping humans doing the checking, I would rather have a drug or bomb sniffing dog at the gate. The dog could give you a good sniff and pass or fail you rather than having person feeling your junk. It 's all a trick to have people go thru the scanners. That way they have a biometric scan of everybody who flies. They get the poor people passing them thru the penal system and the more affluent people who fly from time to time. Before long everyone in the USA will have a scan or fingerprints or something in the system.

I'm thinking of moaning loudly when they are near my junk... just for fun.

I honestly don't see the point in any of this. One who is going to blow themselves up anyway can easily have explosives surgically implanted in their body cavity. Not to mention the fact that one can have a large quantity of explosives inserted up their pooper.

If someone does that....you know... like they stand up on an airplane and pull their pants down and try to lite the wick hanging out their rear... then they get jumpped by the passengers and their attempt fails, then will we all have to have rectal cavity searches before we get on planes? Outside of a few people in San Fran I'm betting those searches won't be too popular!

So as our government is molesting us, did anybody have any sensitive accidents on the people grabing them?
