Snip.

This should be a list of shame. You would think that our own elected officials would understand the First Amendment but, apparently, they have no problem turning the US into one of the small list of authoritarian countries that censors internet content it does not like (in this case, content some of its largest campaign contributors do not like). We already have laws in place to deal with infringing content, so don’t buy the excuse that this law is about stopping infringement. This law takes down entire websites based on the government’s say-so. First Amendment protections make clear that if you are going to stop any specific speech, it has to be extremely specific speech. This law has no such restrictions. It’s really quite unfortunate that these 19 US Senators are the first American politicians to publicly vote in favor of censoring speech in America.
End snip.

More importantly its time to make people more aware of this issue first, most don't seem to care. I find it suprising since it is conspiracy sites like here and elsewhere that may be affected, don't more people here realize that?

well i just wrote the fourth letter to my senator this week. i guard my privacy, but suffice it to say my senator's on that disgusting list. i'll leave it at that, since the rest of this post is about to be nothing but snips and ***'s, save the intermittent "the" or "of"

Notice the so called "liberals" on the list - Feingold/Franken.
There is ZERO difference between the parties.
Amazing how few are getting riled about this.
Are we riding the apathy wave or what?

Not so surprised at Leahy or Durbin - they are both rotten SOBs to the core. I am very disappointed in Arllen Specter, and outright surprised at Al Franken voting for this end run around the First Amendment.

Keep your powder dry and your blades sharp; make no mistake they are trying to turn us into China, and make every last one of us coolies.

You got right ATA. The only thing that matters to most of them (of either party) is how well they can feather their own nests and preserve their own privledges and rights - even at the expense of ours, their employers.

Side note: What businessman or woman would spend 20 million or more dollars to occupy an office that pays 200 grand a year? Answer: a crook.

I'm confused, is this list accurate? I just watched a video on Franken's site condemning this bill.

Did he get confused when he voted? Paid off at the least minute?

possible that I interpreted the video wrong...

Most of these senators have been in power for a long time.I'll bet they feel the internet is a real threat to their power and position. They are despicable.

Our system is broken. Greedy, insecure, pathetic. These are the people running our country.

Is there any way to have an election and just exclude the jackals in Washington?
