I have been reading several boards across the Web-verse the last several days. There are many people that are claiming that the concerns over the naked scans and groping are just hysteria. I am not one of these people. I see this as a major infringement of our civil liberties continually being stripped away a little at a time.

The following video is a good presentation of this acceleration of the stripping of American rights and Civil Liberties. I guess a stationary population is easier to control than a transient one.

The TSA hasn't finished, I'm waiting for the fat lady (aka VIPR & Shock Bracelets) to sing. Check out this article from 2007: VIPR Teams Enhance Security at Major Local Transportation Facilities.

Looking to expand the VIPR concept beyond the rail sector to other forms of mass transit, TSA has been reaching out to several high-volume ferry operators to provide additional security, particularly during the summer months when ridership is at its peak.

So after the TSA has gained control of Airports, Trains, Buses and Ferries, what is left for them to control? Enter the new "Electronic ID Bracelet." This is an excerpt from an article published in 2008:

Want some torture with your peanuts?

Just when you thought you’ve heard it all...

A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser®. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers (video also shown below).

This bracelet would:

• Take the place of an airline boarding pass

• Contain personal information about the traveler

• Be able to monitor the whereabouts of each passenger and his/her luggage

Shock the wearer on command, completely immobilizing him/her for several minutes

How much are you willing to give up in the name of "Safety?" This needs to be stopped now before it is allowed to escalate any further. Do you really want TSA agents to have the power to taser you if they decide that you are "out of line?"

to be honest, id rather wear this bracelet instead of getting groped and having to go through the scanners, because i know it will never be used on me. you would have to have a large increase in marshalls observing the flights though. still, better than the present procedures.

I agree with a stationary populace is easier to control, But IF this is true, you will see alot of people using private airlines, remember all this control and stuff is the COMMERCIAL airlines, not private. As a matter of fact, I've seen my local private airport becoming more and more active

Aren't most Ferry Operations privately held? How long will Private Airlines be able to hold out against Government control if the public doesn't launch a major protest over the TSA abuses that have already been exposed?

I quote you, as this is exactly what I have said days ago, and in many replies I have made to the TSA issue, if anyone has bothered to look at my posts.

This video is just the tip of the iceberg. Once TPTB issue that "cute little do everything bracelet and joe citizen accepts it, we are done for. In this video it proves that many of the problems started quite a while ago and no body cared...when no body cares and accepts abuse in hostage taking and comes to see "life" as their abusers order them to live it, isn't it called Stockholm Syndrome.

Maybe that is what they are counting on. Manipulating joe citizen to the point of STOCKHOLM SYNDROME.

If enough people repeat the "stationary population" hypothesis...let's hope SOMEBODY is listening.

What a great idea!

Personally, I think we should be chained to the airline chair, so no bomber could get up anyways..

I also think that while going through security for our own protection we should have black masks put over our heads and be hand cuffed. After a full body cavity search, children included, we can then move on to be water boarded (because anyone can know something about a terrrist!) After the waterboarding we should be placed in identical tight fitting blue jumpsuits, so as to reveal any unwanted bulges from guns, bombs, etc..

When we are deboarding the plane, we should be interrogated one by one, water boarded again (because we need to know if you met a terrrrist on that plane!) go through another line of full body cavity searches, x-rayed, and escorted, blind folded, to your baggage claim. Which won't be there, it was incinerated, because it might have had a bomb in it.

I'd feel safer anyways..

No kidding. I believe that if we do not stand up and pitch a fit about this now, newborns will have a chip inserted at birth along with their Vitamin K shot. Look at the known history of our world and the Governing bodies that denigrate to despotism. It's the death of a Nation by one thousand cuts.

Now you're talking. How about: The fda approved tsa authorized RFID equipped inflatable anal cavity device
???
("The flying govt fickle finger of fate") (Patent #432876ad)
Inserted by tsa medical staff ( Lateisha: "hmm hmm, bend over baby;I got something for you..") at the checkpoint; inflate to the AMA approved pressure to take up any empty space where things might be hidden. waddle to your seat the on the plane. You sure wouldn't wander too far from the terminal. plug into the pressure maintenance fitting in your seat. If the pressure drops an alarm sounds.

Don't you think this a bit like a bully at school? If he knows he's getting to you, it encourages further bullying...

The number one thing that increases the threat of terrorist activities aimed at the United States?

I believe it is our reaction to 9/11.

We have become so intimidated that we are willing to give up anything for "safety". The attackers thus see what, to them, must be a positive outcome. Turmoil within our nations is increasing. Economic affects are increasing. The government is becoming oppressive. The outside world fears our military might and the panicked mentality that threatens to unleash it over and over.

Our reaction to being attacked has been that of an unstable, fearful, almost psychotic mind.

They didn't win by force, or through brilliant strategy. They didn't take control of our lives.

WE gave it all up. At the first sign of trouble.

We are a weak society and we do not even deserve freedom or security. If we don't have the will to defend our most important ideals and traditions, we are lost.

"Good Americans" have turned over control of our destiny to anyone crazy enough to threaten them. Now we CAN be controlled, with a press release from a cave 7,000 miles away, with a plastic spoork... you name it, we FEAR it!

Both of the Videos are from the article I stated was from 2008. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

I'm enjoying a lot of the satire that is being created over this debacle:

well it is easy to take it out of line.
if this is airline security, then i don't see how this is any worse than what we have now. to have better control over power trippers, have more air marshalls. but if it creeps over into other aspects of life, then that is when you have a real problem, and i agree that it is possible. i say i know it won't be used on me because i have to make myself a threat on the place for it to be used. when i am on a plane, the only threat i present to others on the plane is #ting my pants.

true, you could argue to simply have more air marshalls with tasers if it is security they are trying to impose. but you arent arguing. just saying doom doom gloom boom rhetoric.

Thank you SunshineLaws for posting.

Okay what I want to point out concerns the bracelet.

In the video it shows a man holding out a knife. Firstly he shouldn't have a knife on an air plane and secondly I'm not sure what the bracelets are made out but wouldn't the man with the knife be able to cut the bracelet off before he high jacked the plane?

Next thing ya know they'll contract with a designer to come up with a bracelet to accessorize freguent flyers and their taste for fashion.

Americans do not deserve to be stripped down or shocked for traveling. Everyone should stop flying. Once they realize its bad business, they will change their policies. We have interstates and automobiles. We don't need their planes if they treat their passengers like trash.

Maybe what we need is a national "It's their turn" day..
All boarding passengengers get to put TSA staff through the body scanners and stand back and laugh...
(Most of them TSA dudes look a little flabby)

Giving the TSA dudes a pat down would be optional because I think most of them perverts would probably enjoy it..

Good idea but that's not going to happen. TSA employees are exempt. I can't find an article on that, but there is a newscast clip in the first video in the OP that announces the exemption.

I've been saying this for a long time now.

The American sheeple gave up their rights to protest when they allowed GWB to sign the Patriot Act without a single protest, and even thanked him for taking away their Constitutionally guaranteed rights by reelecting him in 2004.

The Patriot Act gives the government the right to do this sort of screening, under the guise of "Homeland Security".

"Those who give up liberty for freedom deserve neither liberty nor freedom" - Benjamin Franklin.
