New rules requiring “intrusive” pat-downs of some passengers at U.S. airport security checkpoints will remain in place, the head of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration said today.

“We’re not changing the policies,” TSA Administrator John Pistole said on the CNN’s “State of the Union” program. “Clearly it’s intrusive. It’s not comfortable. It really comes down to what is that balance between privacy and security.”

These people are out of control.. They are not willing to change their enforcement strategies to a more logical system where they screen people first before submitting them to such treatment. It is true tyranny when the objective is to get us to submit so that they can sell more machines and force all of us to get irradiated just so they can make more money, get more scanners, and dominate us the public.

i don't understand why they have such heightened security. i was under the impression the 911 hijackers weapons were waiting for them onboard not carried on. and seriously we don't have a real threat from terrorist that can be stopped. think about it all they have to do is cross us mex border steal or gain control of a fuel depot and some gas tankers and you could create anarchy in country all it would take is five five person teams across country to stop the country in its tracks

I have no doubt that the TSA will do whatever they want. Once a bureauracricacy(I had that word) has reached a level of gestapo-ness, it is incredibly hard to get them to play within the lines.
