Iconic movie scenes, page 1

Hi all.

There are a few scenes from movies that really stand out in my mind above all others be it for their visuals or their script or just for that certain je ne sais quoi.
What movie scenes do you find really iconic and why?

Here are a couple of mine

2001 a space odyssey. not only because of my username DAVE!, but there is just something so hauntingly creepy about the voice of the self aware concious computer HAL

The "All work and no play" scene from the Shining stands out for me as it manages to convey such a strong sense of violence and menace without any graphic depictions of it, the scene just relies on the actors being able to act

I remember this one because it scared the mess outta me, and the whole movie was a surreal experience, in a good way.Sigourney was hot too.
Aliens

This scene always stuck in my head from Jaws, another movie that temporarily terrorized me, but what a movie experience!
Jaws

Always loved this movie, and this scene was a moment of cool clarity, not only the conversation but Nicholson and Fonda's acting too.

I forgot to include this scene which I think is just beautiful. If we ever do make contact with UFO's I would love it to be like this, through shared communication.
