in all honest it's bull# , you can lose wieght eating anything. doesnt mean that it's good for you, or that you are healthy.

all you need to do is eat less calories than you use. thats what he did. it has nothing to do with subway, just his willpower to stick to a calorie deficit diet.

I could lose weight eating only chocolate.

A marathon on a bike every day? uh-huh.. Awesome for him though. I've always wondered how awesome people feel after dropping weight like that.

Well, you can donate it to weight watchers and gain back what you lost. I lost 50 lbs this year by cutting fast food completely, eliminating sugar completely, and swimming for 20 minutes 3 times a week. It's not hard.

He's right...the calories are the big deal...

Also, I'm sure this had a lot to do with it:

I also exercise twice a day, seven days a week. I own a recumbent bike, and I ride it for two hours, 13.2 miles each session, which is a marathon each day.

Yep, it's the exercise but if the subway works for Ray, all the power to him!

The key is there is no such thing as a diet.

A diet isn't something you "go on for six weeks"

It's a healthy permanent adaptation to your normal eating habbits.

Yep but also you do not need to get rid of sweets and cakes or what have you to lose weight. You just need to take your time, and do not weigh yourself and become obsessive about your weight.

You can lose weight and not change your diet that much in reality.

Yeah I agree, scales are for whales anyway.

Muscle weighs 3 times more than fat so an effective weight loss/muscle gain program could actually see you heavier on the scales although less fat in reality.

Everything is moderation is okay and if you play your cards right you can actually use eating lots of junk food/fat once a week and gain more muscle.

But yeah, overall, having a cheat day once a week or a cheat meal now and then won't kill no one or make them obese. KFC, BK etc once a week won't make no one a beast, it's all about striking a balance.

Yep for me having one day a week with something you like in terms of eating is good for you in losing weight.

Just do not obsess with the scales, as its alot in the mind, and you can get disheartened.
