VANCOUVER - A 14-year-old British Columbia girl has been charged for allegedly prostituting herself and pimping out other girls through the online classified site Craigslist.

Acting on a tip last month, police began looking into allegations a teenage girl was selling sexual services and recruiting others into the sex trade.

It is crazy what teens are doing these days, they are getting away with a lot but we all know its lack of discipline that causes stuff like this to go on. But who is to blame, herself, her parents, craigslist in Canada to allow the sex trade services or the media itself? (like music where there is sexually suggestive stuff in it)

The new age politically correct commies - who are leading various strategic organizations in your country (example: feminist movement, CPS, education system). Their soul purpose is to throw your social order into a state of chaos, so as to divide the populace and make them easier to control. This isn't lack of discipline... If the girl was making money, she had some discipline.

What you are referring to is guidance... Role models etc...

Discipline does not take you down a moral path, as you can be an incredibly disciplined serial killer with no real guidance

As far as music with sexually suggested stuff... Go check out the opera Carmen and then come back and tell me how much more sexually suggestive our days are?

You've got it all wrong as to what the issue here...the issue is not what they are exposed to, its the guidance they arenotgetting from the parents... Simple as that.

I agree with Hunka. It's guidance from her parents that's obviously lacking. If a 14-year-old girl is conducting a business on the Internet and her parents don't know about it, something is seriously missing in the parenting department.

Well, the fact is, kids, reaching young adulthood, are going to have sex, and no amount of Christian Dogma, School programs, parental supervision, "the talk," which most parent fail to do anyway, is going to stop kids from having sex. This is a natural thing, and if you must have someone to blame, blame Monsanto. I believe they have been feeding human growth hormones to cows and pig in the feed, and this causes the feeling a lot sooner than in my day. In my day a girl who even thought of sex before she was 16 was unheard of.

I appreciate your stance on Monsanto, but when was "your day"? Because I am 53 years old and I had sex at 14 and it wasn't even uncommon, let alone unheard of.

This is not surprising to me at all. I live in California and you can see many times kids bullying other kids into doing drugs, drinking or having sex.

its hilarious every time something like this comes up and everybody stands around asking "how could this happen?" "this is so shocking!"


when sexual promiscuity is as rampant and accepted as it is today, how can you honestly sit back and question how this happened?

ill put it simply, sex was never meant to be casual.

when any and all forms of sexuality are encouraged and accepted (and in some cases militantly defended) this effect on the children is inevitable.

maybe you hippies should think about that before your next parade.

I think the real reason that government forbids parents from disciplining thier chidren like the "old ways" is that they know they'll get more revenue in the end. We can't punish our children when they do wrong because there is a fine line between abuse and discipline but when they do get in trouble the government is ready to point fingers and drain us financially.

Just think, if everyone obeyed the laws, government would go broke.

Oh! They're already broke. Well it's time to come up with more laws!
