The problem comes obviously when you go to buy something, and put a large amount of money IN the bank. It recently happened to us. We keep very
little in the bank, and put 3k in, and we were told it was 'untraceable cash' and that 'cash was not considered an asset.'
Banks are evil. They really are. I got a 5k check from State Farm written on Bank of America. Went to BOA to cash it. They tried to force me to
deposit it. They called State Farm and verified the check but still insisted on fingerprinting it before they'd give me the cash
If it ever happens again, I swear I will put crazy glue on my fingers first. I am not a criminal and that infuriated me. I have given my
fingerprints to the govt. several times- as an employee it was a requirement. A bank is not the government. Oh I was hot.
This system we have - they want total accountability of the money. They want to do everything they can to force you to use their system.
