1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV): "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Leviticus 18:22 (KJV): "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind it is abomination."

Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

These scriptures clearly state that these vile affections of men lusting for other men (gay men) or women lusting for other women (lesbians) are not the natural affections God created men and women to have for one another. Let me say here that God loves all homosexuals! However, He hates the deeds of homosexuality because they are sinful. God did not create any human being as a homosexual. They are not born that way, just as murderers are not born that way. However, these spirits can be transmitted to children, especially if someone who had this demonic spirit seduced or raped a child--or even if they were close to gay people. These demons can also be imparted to others through unholy sexual acts.

People become homosexuals because they yield to abnormal acts or lust. It is through some source that they have received a demonic spirit that drives them to their lust. Viewing evil videos or pornographic books is a way of opening the door for Satan to give one an evil, perverse spirit. Though people are not born as homosexuals, the Bible does say all human beings are born with a sin nature. If we yield to the evils of our flesh it will lead to our destruction not only in this life, but in the life to come. However, through faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross we can break the hold that sin has upon us. We do not have to yield to the old fleshy nature but we can now overcome evil temptations and live our lives controlled by the Holy Spirit.
Sex is God's idea and its purpose is not only for procreation, but also for recreation and the development of a deep relationship between man and woman. Nothing is wrong or dirty about sex when it is engaged in the bonds of marriage as the Lord commanded in the Bible. However, when perversions are committed inside the marriage relationship, this can be sinful also. God made man and woman and brought them together "face to face." Oral sex is of homosexual origin that replaces the normal "face to face" relationship God intended in a marriage. The Bible describes the sex act in Song of Solomon Chapter 4. In this chapter it speaks of this "face to face" relationship by describing looking into his lover's eyes and kissing his lover's lips and fondling his lover's breasts. Oral sex is not normal or natural as it is an unclean act. (yes, that one suprised me too! but you learn something new every day.)

Zero does have a point, it does tell you to stone women who have been raped. It also tells you to kill your neighbor if they work on the sabbath. It also says slavery is ok. It also says that a man has to be caught with a animal, while a woman only has to think about being with an animal before they are killed. If you follow one part of the bible then follow the rest, not just the parts you like. Hell, if we did everything it says in the bible there would be about 3 people left on the planet. Well, maybe 8, one on each continet hiding from the others on the other continets so they aren't killed. Well, maybe 7 cause antartica is cold and I don't think someone would want to hide there.

No oral sex allowed according to you, even in marriage? Get bent! At least you didnt find any scriptures that keep stoners out of heaven.

As far as the homosexuality question, there is some scientific evidence that points to it being biological. Other animals have homo and bi sexual members for one, hormone imbalences can warp one's sex drive, and many people are born intersexed so they aren't going to be 'straight.' Religion is about finding happiness here on Earth, not to be worried about going to heaven when you die.

Facts what Facts!!!! I'm no supporter of Gay people but I get annoyed when "Christians" like your self try to use bibles verses to defend there view. If you really believe every word that the bibles says then you should kill children when they talk back and chop off the hand of someone who takes something. Get a clue and learn not to use the bible to support your twisted views. Besides you pick and choose what verses to follow. You probably think Jesus is God!!! I have some verses that will show you different since you think the bile is full of Facts

Luke 17: 20 -21
Now when he was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of GOD will come, He answered them and said, "The Kingdom of GOD does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of GOD is within you"

Mathew 4:5-7
Then the devil took him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, sand said to Him, If you are the Son of God, throw your self down For it is written:

He shall give his angles charge over you and, In their hands they shall bear you up Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God

Mathew 4:10
Then Jesus said to him, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.

Mark 2:10
But that you may know that the Son of Man has the power on earth to forgive sin

Matthew 5:45
That you may be sons of your father in Heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and sends rain on the unjust.

Mathew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God
Mathew 23:9-10
Do not call anyone on earth your father; for one is your father, he who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for one is your teacher, the Christ.

Matthew 26:39
He went a little farther and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, oh my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will

Matthew 10:40-41
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me. Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.

-Mark 10:18
So Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, that is God.

- John 8:28
Then Jesus said to them, when you lift up the son of man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My father taught Me, I speak these things.

John 5:37
And the father himself, who sent me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, no seen his form.

Matthew 7:21
not everyone who says to me, Lord Shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, lord, lord have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness

John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of him who sent me

John 7:16
Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me

John 13:16
Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who was sent greater than he who sent him. If you know theses things, blesses are you if you do them

Matthew 13:57
so they were offended at him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house
- John 14:28
You have heard me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father, For My Father is Greater than I

FrStyleKing you should really do a search through old thread because this topic has been beaten to death...

As an aside I laughed heartily at that link you have in your signature. Apparently Pokemon is a work of the Devil... Come on... I'm Catholic, but some Christians really need to get a damn grip.

FrStyleKing you base all your beliefs about homosexuality on the OT (which by the way is a book of traditions to be followed by an ancient culture, and the covenant was wiped clean when Jesus came to humanity. We have a new covenant with God that pretty much voids all the OT). Do you base all of your life's beliefs on the OT? If so, I wonder if you eat shrimp, lobster or crab. Do you? Because if so I'm sorry but your ass is going to hell (according to the OT).

Some Christians really need to get a grip on reality and stop taking the Bible so damned literally. This coming from a Christian.

Here is an interesting piece I found about how slave-owners used the Bible to justify slavery.
www.religioustolerance.org...

If Christians are against homosexuality because it "says so" in the Bible and everything in the Bible is true & should be followed, then they also should be pro-slavery. If they are not pro-slavery, even though the Bible both accepts it & Jesus is mysteriously silent about it (you'd think this would be a topic that He'd like to get His two cents in about), then it weakens their complaint about homosexuality. The way I see it, you either accept ALL of the Bible, warts & everything, or you admit that certain parts of the Bible reflect the issues of the time that might not be of relevance to us now.

For the record, I am Pro-LIFE: I'm not an advocate of abortion, the death penalty, sending people to die in wars, or harrassing them about their religion or sexual preference. I'm into people living their lives in peace. Jesus is called the Prince of Peace, yet He said He did not come to bring Peace but a Sword. Is the sword Intolerance?

I am not going to get into this debate, but as far as the "bad" things mentiones above, those were pre Jesus. We do not fallow that, we fallow what happend after that, because now we had the oppurtunity to be forgiven.

Well I guess we have forgoten that even Jesus was baptize to take away the original sin of his birth. Right?

Any way when it comes to Christian religious indoctriantion has taught believers that what makes you a good person is what you believe, not what you do. "Get right wiht God" and everything else falls into place, is the fundametalist view. In this black and white world, the good are christians who will go to haven, the bad are hell-bound unbelievers.

And about sexuality, well the catholic church have more than his share of homosexuality and even with all the abuse done in the church they still push the homosexuals are siners, what a joke.

I really don't subscribe to that idea. A lot of people will say that all it takes is to "get right with God" but I don't believe that. You need faith and you need good works, that's the way I (and Catholicism) look at it.

You gotta realize that the Church itself is not what Christianity is fundamentally about. Christianity is a good religion that teaches love and compassion. Jesus would never condemn a homosexual, he would love them, pray for them, and be their best friend. Even if he didn't agree with their choice of lifestyle, Jesus would love them no matter what (as he did with all sinners). A TON of Christians forget this integral point, to love one another, and they go on a crusade against homosexuals, which is wrong. Saying homosexuals are evil is not what Christians should be doing, they should be praying for their fellow man and loving them as they would love anyone else. THIS is the fundamental teaching of Christ, and it is sadly something that many "fundamentalists" forget...

Thanks Faisca, your point of view is very optimistic, and even when I don't agree whit some of it I think is very nice, and yes we all know is a different in Christianity and Catholic Church. To me we all praise one God and that it and he does not difereciate we color denomination and sexual inclinations you have.
