Japan Alleges N. Korea Preparing Another Nuke Test

www.arirang.com

Japanese media is reporting that Tokyo officials believe that Pyeongyang is preparing for its third nuclear test.
According to Kyodo News and Jiji News on Thursday, Japanese government officials have confirmed a new tunnel through satellite imagery at North Korea's Punggye-ri nuclear site.
The site is known as the location where the communist state conducted its second nuclear test in May of last year.

Just breaking at the moment.

Hopefully they don't test another nuke... which would be stupid.

And when they tested a nuke in 2006, Korean geologists believe that it could have woken up a big volcano in the area... and me thinks that if another nuke explodes, it could very well set it off...

On Oct. 1, 2006, a Russian satellite found the surface temperature of the mountain notably higher than before. The finding came just days after North Korea conducted an underground nuclear test in its northern territory, which could have been a catalyst reactivating magma flows, according to analysts.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Iraq was invaded under the cover story (to hide the real reasons) that Iraq had WMDs.

North Korea has WMDs, we know they have WMDs, but they will not be invaded, unless something really kicks off on the 39th parallel.

North Korea got nuclear weapons, because they saw what happened to Iraq, who did not have WMDs, who were invaded under one of the claims they had WMDs.

Meanwhile, Iran could still be invaded because it as yet doesn't have nuclear weapons, while the US and Israel administrations claim they are getting them.

Still following? Good.

El Baradei, the former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency says that nations seeking nuclear weapons, or have nuclear weapons, do so because it deters war on their lands, hence the problem with proliferation.

Hans Blix concurs.

So....if other nations claims a nation has or is developing nuclear weapons as an excuse for the real reasons to attack said nation, and beat the war drums, the only way the nation can deter an attack is by having nuclear weapons, thus fulfilling an originally false prophecy that the nation is acquiring nuclear weapons originally used to justify an attack on that nation, and deterring war on that nation.

Meanwhile.....if you have nuclear weapons, and have nations who are the right friends, no mention will be made of your nuclear weapons, even if you are one of those nations accusing another nation of developing nuclear weapons.

Herein ends today's lesson on doublethink on the subject of nuclear weaponry, international diplomacy, hypocrisy and sham excuses for war.

The US will not risk a war with some tinpot knuckle head throwing atoms together in some crude underground experiment.

Yes, its a worry, but its a worry the world needs to come adjusted to living with.

The real problems, is the nation with nukes who doesnt seem to mind going rogue and actually killing people for BS Reasons.

Now thats the country I fear.

This Reuters article includes the satellite photo:

It's odd that the publication date on this article is Thursday October 21st 2010? Does Korea use a different calendar?

Probably just testing how to nuke an volcano as it would probably cause more damage then nuking a city.

Yes it is because that photo is only a news filler from digital globe, not the US military photos. If you would READ the article..

The report comes after satellite images taken last month also showed heightened activity at the North's main Yongbyon nuclear complex, indicating Pyongyang was pushing ahead with its nuclear plans in defiance of international pressure.

TEST NOT IMMINENT
However, it seems unlikely the North will conduct a third test in the immediate future since current activities there suggest it will take "about three months" to prepare, the source added.

and...

North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Pak Kil-yon told the U.N. General Assembly last month that Pyongyang would bolster its "nuclear deterrent" in response to the threat posed by the United States, but promised never to use its atomic arsenal to attack or threaten any nation.

So I would say we won't be needing to blast them back into the stone age... yet
