To Bush it could only be detrimental. This would mean that they now can be heard, at least, and not held incommunicado beyond any and all jurisdiction
(such as at Gitmo). I would welcome it. Let's hear some charges. If they sound reasonable then try them. If not, LET THEM GO!
I agree, if we flaunt our own constitution how can we expect anybody to take us seriously???
As far as the GITMO gang, let them be heard, but keep them in Cuba.
1) It will contiune to piss of Fidel
2) Hard to protest there
3) Less chance of a terrorist attack there than if they were in say Marrion or Leavenworth
This sounds great, lets take all of the prisoners and move them to the US.
But lets wait till December or maybe January, put them all on a plane and fly them to Alaska, some place like Brooks Range, give all $50 bucks and let
them all go! Problem solved!
