NEWS: Traffic In Human Organs In Afghanistan

In this troubling story, criminals are abducting children for ransom, demanding money with letters to the families which included fingers or toes, and if you thought this was bad there are even reports of children being killed so their organs can be sold for money.

Lawlessness in Afghanistan is leading to a rise in child abductions and, as a BBC Radio 4 investigation reveals, some youngsters are being killed for their organs.

WTF is wrong with people. When you read stuff like this, you have to wonder what the hell went wrong. I just can't fathom what could occur in a persons life that would make them able to kill children as described with little or no conscious. These people deserve to die.

These people are not normal in any sense of the word. They value nothing, they have nothing, they are nothing.

But they hurt people who are something, children who have value to people, which is why it's so damn terrible.

Our instinctive reaction to this activity is a clear indicator of how difficult a path we must take to "win" the war on terror.

Because contrary to your statement, these individuals do have a set of norms by which they live, and within those norms is a clear ordering of values and things valued.

If you place this disgusting practice (kidnapping, selling organs, mutilation) alongside suicide bombing, killing non-combatants, destroying infrastructure, fomenting anarchy, you see that these are merely tools to obtain their ultimate goal: money, power, and resources at very little, if any, cost to themselves.

No, their souls or whatever are not damaged, or hurt, or sent to hell. Remember this is normal to them; it is all relative.

I am sure there is a cost to high, one they are unwilling to pay, to achieve their goals. The only problem is that in forcing them to pay that cost, our collection agents will undoubtedly pay an equally high price.

Yep, street children in Brazil were coming up 'missing' and the same thing was happening to them! Taken for their organs

It's truly shocking what people do to children around the world - and women, for that matter. Heck! And men too - considering all the beheadings recently.

Sigh... what a world...

What a crock. They can't act honorably or decently because they don't make enough money? They have such disregard for themselves, their country and their citizens that they must be paid in order to uphold any kind of law?

They're not trying hard enough. They are morally bankrupt, as are all who victimize children. Once again, it's going to take the decent people standing up and mowing these animals down to get the problem solved. The decent people need to stop milling around waiting for Those In Charge to handle everything. That could be one seriously brutal Neighborhood Watch over there!

This is sickening. This is worse than plain old murder (which is bad enough in itself) -- this is earning a profit from the sell of organs from another human being they killed, just for the money!

And the fact that these are innocent children on top of that just compounds the sin to cosmic proportions.

Satan has a special place reserved for these folks when they die...

Naww that would be too easy, send them to a US prison for the rest of thier lives. Criminals who target children are treated justly in US prisons by thier peers.
