Mods if this is in the wrong forum please move! This is the test to determine the extant of autistic traits in adults. It was a simple yet confusing test. A few questions could be explained much better. I felt the question could be interpreted in more then one way. My answer was 15. What would you get?

Psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at Cambridge's Autism Research Centre have created the Autism-Spectrum Quotient, or AQ, as a measure of the extent of autistic traits in adults. In the first major trial using the test, the average score in the control group was 16.4. Eighty percent of those diagnosed with autism or a related disorder scored 32 or higher. The test is not a means for making a diagnosis, however, and many who score above 32 and even meet the diagnostic criteria for mild autism or Asperger's report no difficulty functioning in their everyday lives.

I have score 29. I was diagnosed PDD-NOS as a child.
I think some of these questions are quite clever, but I guess not many people will answer yes to 'I prefer to do things the same way over and over again' :p

I got 21.
I have taken this test before though before I started taking anti depressants and I got 29. So I guess they are helping somewhat.

If I took the test tomorrow I might get even less, but I am having a stressful time trying to write a magazine article and it's stressing me out and colouring my mood

I got a 7.

Tests are fun, but this one was a bit redundant. I could see a pattern, thus the 7, I suppose.

Dunno.

Not going to take this because I've taken several in the past. I always show up really high on AQ. I was also diagnosed PDD-NOS which basically means they haven't a clue what's going on with you. My parents now strongly suspect Asperger's.

What I think you'll find is a disproportionate amount of CT'ers are either slightly autistic, else slightly psychotic. Both tend to think in black and white terms just like what you see on ATS a lot. The one's who progress over time were merely going through a large life change, like a trauma based psychosis. Autistics seem to just be born that way, and will forever have trouble understanding the world and people's intent.
