I have a personal question. (not) I know some slang words and know about junk but do females have junk or is it called something different. I'm over 25. Just wondering,,

haha! Yeah I suppose you could call female equipment "junk", but I think it's usually refered to as a "Hoo-Haw". lol

Do what Israel is now doing... (mind you they haven't had a problem with their airlines)

Send them to a totally encased in iron room... in this room are bomb detectors, not metal detectors.

If an explosive is detected, it is detonated.

BOOM.

"It's your turn to clean it up Charlie."

"Hello ladies and gentleman, we have an extra seat available on Flight xxx for those who are interested."

Problem solved.

Everything else can be detected with conventional technology like metal detectors and locked doors on cockpits.

This invasion of our personal privacy is ridiculous and borders on tyranny. Next, they will be installing scanners to make sure you aren't THINKING about blowing up the planes either.

Unconstitutional? Maybe, maybe not. Stupid and a waste of tax payer money? ABSOLUTELY.

Also convenient that the former head of Homeland Security who recommended these scanners now sits on the board of one of the companies who is contracted by the government to provide said scanners to the airports. Hmmmmm.....

Wow, what's with you people... always "afraid" of the boogie man! Anyone fearful of so called "terrorists" should really try to get out more! Go see the world (don't fly if you're afraid, there are many other means of travelling) go open your eyes!

As an outsider I can assure you the world sees US as a prison, controlled via their own people through fear. The only terrorists you should be, is your own damn government! They abuse your right and freedom. They suppress and control you through fear. 911 was an inside job to create more control over the people, notice how all your lives become even more suppressed since then... think back 20-30 years ago even and look back at last 10 years and how dramatically our rights are being ripped apart.

You don't even know what "terrorists" means or look like, other then the image they put in your head.. some middle easter brown guy with beard! seriously... you can't be afraid of people or the world. Ya sure, they're some crazy people around... but 99% just wanna live at peace and love with their family, explore the world a little and you'll see what I mean... it's like "waking up" from a nightmare.... what you call life... is only life in prison if that's your mind set!

Do you really think a terrorist or terrorist sympathizer would not hide a weapon on a child? I guess you forgot Vietnam where the Vietcong would send children into military camps to shoot or blow up G.I's?

These people aren't getting off on patting down adults or children. Also the scanner does not show you naked. it scans through you to see if you have a concealed weapon. It may show an outline of your body and "junk" as the media sensationalist and sheeple are calling it but that's all.

I am the biggest don't trust the government person in the world. The government lies, steals. rapes and kills.
Also Martial law IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! I have seen and done a lot of things that people would be amazed of (no I am not bragging and no I don't want to talk about it).

This is not about invading your privacy it is about finding weapons! If you or anyone else on here doesn't think the government knows or could know anything about you if they want then someone needs a wake up call.

Between satellites, ir trackers in almost everything you own and sometimes eat, and a host of other technology we have been being spied on for decades! you should be more concerned about the Fusion centers that put innocent people on watch lists!

I bet you have an easy pass in your vehicle for the turnpikes if you travel a lot, yeah they don't use that to track you huh? When the Government tries to round us up I will kick some serious ass but this is not about that!
Do you even know what they put in your drinking water??? Yeah fluoride is great for teeth and a lot more!

If you want to play conspiracy theorist why don't you figure out how we get charged income tax when IT IS ILLEGAL! If everyone would get up in arms about that we might not feel raped when we get paid. These pat downs and scans are to stop terrorist and criminals and only the misinformed, scared, ignorant and people who have something bad to hide are afraid or offended by them!

You give out more vital information to join FaceBook or ATS or most other websites than these searches take.
My God there are biometric scanners everywhere that most don't know about but you are afraid of this?!?!?!?

Also what you said to that lady about her kid was a real dick move.

If I were to have to go through the pat down I would wear a sports cup.
That way way when they try to touch my junk they get a surprise.
Of course if I do that I would be placed on a terror watch list and not allowed to fly anymore.

On a side note I have a friend that is in the ARMY and he was subjected to a seconday search, so was everyone else in his unit. They were on orders and in uniform.

Nice to know that the TSA even thinks our own Military is the enemy.

That would be a very entertaining fight.

TSA vs. ARMY

Unfortunately they already have them installed. Look at 'Automatic facial action detection using histogram variation between emotional states'. I don't know the term used for the applied technology but it is being used and has been sine 911.

That is just an idiotic misapplied statement. So we should get rid of security and offer free flights to known terrorist so they don't think we're scared? Then we will win!!!! LOL WOW

All this, and we're still not allowed to profile. Amazing.

I'm not so worried about aircraft being used as missiles so much anymore. I have a feeling the terrorists are moving on to bigger and better while we invade the privacy of travelers. If the government could show proof that the tactics of the TSA have thwarted a disaster, then maybe we'd have a better debate. I think the government just wants to show us that they are doing something to protect us, and this is just the latest and greatest (bad) idea.

Very much Part of the show! Soon after 911 our local (regional) one gate; one runway; "airport" had a national guard trooper with his m-16 ; endlessly wandering our joke of a "terminal" Who was he gonna shoot?I have way more chance of being accosted; tased; and injured by "my" govt than dirty goat herders in a cave in one of the 'stans. It was then I quit flying and realized how much of the "war" on: ( poverty? ;drugs?oh yeah this one is called "terror") is. complete and utter b.s.

You cannot reason with these people. They will always come back with a quote or scenario that is ultra extreme or just plain irrelevant and misused. They cry about what freedoms or liberty we will give up next yet are to blind to see that we have been moving towards a Socialist state for decades. I will kill for my freedom if need be but you must know we live with an illusion of freedom.

I will not give up anything I do not want or have to. This is about finding threats to lives PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

I REFUSE TO ARGUE THIS POINT ANYMORE! So do not bother challenging me or replying with some idiotic histrionic misguided reply.

All I know for sure as when it does hit the fan for real I will be safe and so will my loved ones and I will readily kill to ensure that

Its silly: I was in industrial maintenace on the production floor working on machinery; "Corporate" suits laid down a ruling "no pocket knives",They were"weapon"s,.Maint mechanics live and die by their pocket knives (most used tool I had ).I mentioned to the corporate geek thats 'just ridiculous "give you my pocket knife" when Ive'e got a 10' phillips head screwdriver hanging from my tool belt. its a far deadlier weapon than my 3.5" swiss army knife...Idjits.
They looked at me funny from then on out and didn't appreciate the dose of reality.

Dave Barry is the latest to have a run - in with the TSA.

www.nationalledger.com...

The article also mentions an incident with Rihanna? Hadn't heard anything about that before but she allegedly called it "One of the most awkward moments of my life".

Maybe if enough celebrities complain about it, the big wigs will actually do something

If the government is so concerned about finding threats to lives, why is our southern border still wide open?

If one truly believes these blatant violations of privacy and liberty is only in the name of "perceived safety", they are truly hopeless.

Of course it violates our rights.

Since airport security is not privately run and since passengers are not given a choice to reject the screening if things get too invasive, it necessarily constitutes an unlawful search since there is no reasonable cause nor court issued warrant.

Volountary...don't want it? Say no and walk. But you aren't getting on the plane.

No forced invasion of privacy.

I agree about the border issue, but once again these new procedures are needed and in fact late.90% of the people bitching about it will be first in line to sue someone for lack of security screening if a family member dies from a terrorist attack or they have bad dreams after it happens.
