While browsing around You Tube, I came across this amazing Documentary by Mark Thomas. It is a fascinating look at Britain's secret bases and just the nature of secrecy in Britain.

It actually becomes quite scary when Mark reveals a story, denied by the government, that an American bomber crashed and burned at a US base based in the UK. The plane was apparently carrying nuclear weapons and their are now high recordings of uranium in the area.

There's many stories in this documentary I had never been aware of. It's not a conspiracy theory documentary, its all facts and well presented.

Great find, starred and flagged. I've actually started the entire documentary downloading on utorrent, just did a search on torrentz.com for "secret map britain" and it came up right away.

This is the sort of post that ATS should be all about, which means it will probably be ignored by most users in the ATSverse.

Loved the female cop "oh, right, you're making a documentary about maps!".

I wasn't going to bother posting it, but I posted it in chat and seemed to spark some interest so thought I'd do a quick thread. Mark Thomas, is great at this sort of thing. He can use his humour to show up the insanity of the system. Very clever guy.

I havent even bothered watching the youtube link, just gone straight to the torrent

I love Mark Thomas too!

Out of interest do you remember the name of the TV series he made? All I remember about it was that there was one episode where he was able to set up an arms trading company in the UK staffed entirely by school children.

I think the one you are thinking of is "The Mark Thomas Comedy Product" which was aired on Channel 4 a few years ago.

I didn't know about the government priority phone routing.
That makes me wonder if we have the same thing here in the US (mmm...prolly!)
and whether it was activated on 9/11.

I wonder how many US folk see Hugh Laurie in this, and lose the plot.

I haven't got time to watch the videos right this second but I have heard of the incident with the nuclear weaponry so I will definitely watch the videos tomorrow.

Dave, when i watch house even after, is it 7 seasons?, i still see the imcompetant Prince George, and his two 'silla bulls' in fact this whole conversation is getting a 'silla', thanks for posting the vid. (ps the americans will think weve lost the plot).

It was really an excellent documentary. I am very curious as to why that dude has Plutonium in his back-yard. That is very strange. Also what year was it made?
