Earthquake at Midwest ---- WorldWar3's portent

Are we discussing the New Madrid Fault Line? The fault line runs most of the length of the Mississippi River. Last time it let loose - at the end of the 1800's - it hit so hard that the Mississippi River ran backwards for three days AND the bells in the church towers in Boston were ringing from the earthquake waves hitting out that far.

Science says this fault line is a 'biggie' and is overdue for a huge movement. Psychics say that the New Madrid will let loose and basically split the country in two.

I can see how a major earthquake on the New Madrid could be seen as a potent of WWIII for some folks. However, we are already in WWIII (the War on Terror). Perhaps he means it's a potent for WWIV ??

Ouu.. I, too, had 'seen' the US cleaving in two! Also, I 'saw' a big dam (near Waco?) in Texas bursting(?!)

Since there have been 2 earthquakes this week (the 4.5er west of Chicago and the 3.3er around Cleveland) in 'rare' places... then I hope it's not a precursor to something bigger. (It came to me last Friday that a major earthquake was about to hit). Uh oh...

Wow that is rather odd to have 2 rare earthquakes in such a short period of time. I don't think though it is a precursor to a WW3 though. Hey anybody have a link to the Cleveland Earthquake? I ran a google search but I didn't come up with anything.

arrrg, quakes happen everyday. The New Madrid Seismic Zone is an intracontinental (in a continental plate) fault system associated with a failed rift event. It is possible that it could become active again, however, it will not cleave the US in two. The current trend of plate tectonics does not dictate a thining crustal plate here.
