We were running across street to catch express bus,
when my female partner noticed an object in the sky,
I looked and it was indeed very strange, red, shaped somewhat like a trimaran,
and it seemed to be tumbling through the air.
since it was tumbling, I got to see more of the top in first view than any other part.

I was carrying a bunch of stuff,
so I gave my partner camera to take a picture,
only managed to get two pics before express bus pulled up,
and only one of the images have the actual craft,
which is kinda small at the bottom, looks like a 3,
though you can see the flashing lights.

and here is the original photo
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/59942911fa7e.jpg[/atsimg]

as after it crossed the street,
and was a approaching the trees
I saw it randomly flashing the rear lights.
perhaps it was attempting to stabilize,
or it was part of it's tumbling motion.

My birthday was two days prior to that,
so I kinda look at it as a birthday present.
Though perhaps merely some synchronicity.

Actually when it was happening,
I only really looked at it twice in depth,
A large part of me was still interested in getting on the bus by habit,
and the craft was behind some trees when it was pulling up already,
so we didn't really stick around to investigate,
it just happened so fast.

So if you've seen something like it,
or can remote view about it,
please do inform.

It would be nice to identify it,
who made it, what it's for..

The flashing lights could simply be the sun reflecting of shiny foil.

I think it likely that something like this is the culprit

how about the flashing lights?
also the 3 picture is just the rear view.
it looked more like a car or boat from the side.

Marrsattax has already explained the "flashing lights". Look closely at the picture in the link I posted and you'll see the same effect. There are several spots on the balloon where you can see the reflection of whatever was used to light the seen.

You know the old saying. "Pics or it didn't happen."

very very defiantly a #3 foil helium birthday balloon with the sun glinting off it.

I have never in my life seen any large foil balloons.
other than on the website link.

Like who uses these foil balloons?
Where did they come from?

though ya, admitedly,
it would be a rather silly craft,
so you are most likely right,
maybe it was someone's 30'th birthday,
and the 3 just happened to float away..
a balloon would explain why it was tumbling.

well it was my 23rd birthday,
so that has a 3 in it :-)

You can buy them anywhere in the UK... Even the supermarkets stock them, I had a #2 in pink for my daughter this year
