We shipped the food that we shorted ourselves on to the people in your country. A lot of American merchant marines died running the U-boat blockade that Germany put on your small island nation.

That food kept the British people from starving. Judging by your gratitude, we may have made a mistake.

You talk about how we came into the war late. Maybe so. Try to read up on how the war went in the early years for your country and France. Does the fall of France and the Low Countries mean anything to you? Dunkirk ring a bell?

Yes, you really had a good handle on the war before we came in and ....
kept you from starving.

Were we in the war when D-Day occurred? Sure enough, we were. I guess you will tell me that you built all the landing craft???

Was it the Russians? No, they didn't really get involved in the Asian theater until WE dropped the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And to address another point, your glorifying the Russians on their contributions, they had a non-aggression pact with the Germans which held until Operation Barbarossa began! They, instead of helping Poland, rushed in from the east and took over sections of Polish land.... yeah, that was helpful. They fought the war with the help of American equipment and supplies....Lend/Lease.

And to say that we 'sat on our laurels' until we were attacked..... We were shipping valuable goods and food to Britain well before we entered the war. I guess that wasn't any help...

Reguardless, my point still stands. Its one thing to ship supplies and another to commit your country and your young men to dieing in war. France, Britain and the countries of the Commonwealth declared war when Germany invaded Poland. It took an attack on the US itself to bring them into the thick of things.

Sure, the US stopped the Japanese but you are minimizing the contributions of the other countries who commited lives to the effort. I can guarantee to you if the Russians capitulated to the Germans we would all be goosestepping around right now. Without the British airbases to bomb the German infrastructure we'd be in the same boat. The US did not win the war alone. Your arrogance knows no bounds.

You don't seem to understand, don't you. I never said America did not help. I said they never wnet to war with Germany until 1942. There is a diference in going to war, and helping the people who are in a war. You have to remember, this was a world war. For what germanys intentions were, then america should have been in the war way before they actually did, regardless if they supplied food or not.

Every country in the war had their part to play. But don't go saying that America won the war because thats BS. Yes, they helped a great deal, but so did Russia and UK to name a few.

Are you kidding me? Have you been to China? I have many times. Not sure where your from. I'm from the United States Of America. The land of the free because of the brave. Not goping to go into name calling and attacking as that is not my deal.

China is into alot more than you can imagine.

I'm actually cautious about what I write as I may have to go back there again and dont want to cause any problems.

China takes care of the upper echelon within china. Dont belive me. Travel outside shanghia about 70 miles in any direction. I did and this is what I saw.

People living in extremly poor conditions. Pop up shacks with what looked like straw on the roofs. These look like people grabbed scraps and through them together.

At least here you can get a apartment for free.
Get a car for free. including assistance for insurance and gas.
Get food stamps to buy your lobsters and steak tips and beer. Don't say you cant because you can. Not including your debit card that can be used at the casino.
Any if your not geting enought how about some free ccoledge degree's.

Tell me where there is another better place on this earth top live other than the United State Of America.

As hardcore as I am. I think that some of these free bee's are killing this country. They were initally put into place to help people in time of crisis.

Prisoners I wont even go there. But here they get three square a day, showers soap tooth brush tooth paste pipes to smoke tv to watch yes cable. To much to list. That is just a scratch.

Name somewhere in the world where they take such good care of the prisoners. Most criminals get out of prison an recommit a crime to get back in to the assisted living conditions.

As I sit here with my freedom to go anywhere that I want at any time I want. I'm just gazing out the window on this beautiful Thursday morning thanking god that the soldiers who fought for these freedoms which I have the priviledghe to enjoy I am forever greatful to you all and salute you when I pass your graves.
