Thousands of South Koreans have turned out for the emotional funeral of Kim Sun-il, a young interpreter who was beheaded by Islamic militants in Iraq
last week.
Kim's coffin was carried on Wednesday in a funeral van covered with white flowers and a red cross, led by a black van with his portrait and flanked
by sobbing friends and relatives. Kim was the seventh of eight children in his family.

I have to admire how the South Koreans have stood by the U.S. Local reports have highlighted their remembrance of America having stood by them, and
how they feel duty bound to back us up. If only others, for whom Americans have died for, would be as loyal (even if in loyal opposition),
