Is that really the best you can come up with? Awww....come on Ausar, you disappoint me.

Do you suppose that women in service to their countries are trained differently from men? What of the psychological training and preparation? Here's another video of the PLA womens army, they look pretty determined and if I may say so...mean as hell.

I have met quite a few former PLA women army members who now live in the USA, and they are not mean as hell, they all served in support functions and only went to the gun range a couple of times, most of them hated it.

Ladies Ladies Ladies too cute for dat. UM JUST SAYEN mm mm mmm. There have always been femal warriors so there isnt anything wrong. It is amazing to see their faces and know some of them are cold blooded killers. And Ea cant think of anything else to do except kill each other. Earth needs a global party for a whole year were all can travel to any location they please at anytime. This is just messed up. If I was in battle it would be hard not to look out for the femals more then us males.

Thanks OP Ea woman and men need to find better things to do besides fight, war and kill. Can any imagine how pleasant it would be if we were all just living and being fruitful MAKING BABIES YEA POPULATION INCREASE

So this one time part of my unit went to the firing range (M249 SAW) with part of another MP unit, about 40 shooters in all, only two females present. Can you guess which one scored the highest? Yep, she outshot us all. Just sayin'... I have met many a male soldier whom I had little confidence in, in regards to performing well under combat. And on the other hand have been hugely impressed by some soliders performances, whom happened to be female. With all that said, I believe a female who wishes to serve directly under a combat unit should be given the opportunity. Mind you as it stands they are usually not far behind the 'front line' where the combat units are deployed.

on some aspects maybe women have advantages than men such as treating the wounded
but i don't think it is good that let woman be in the army the majority of soldiers are man so many things are convenient
if there are some women many things will arise

Is not that women can't fight, they can, is proven, and they can be very good, but they should not fight.

There is a very old and historical reason to this, and is that when the SHTF and you have too many losses, well, men doesn't have babies, women do.

I'm not saying that women must be slaves who only breed, but the reason is good and is even more good when we are talking about societies with too much old people, too much men, or just too small population.

That's the reason why war is usually fought only by men and even when women go to war, is not to combat but in support roles.

No offense, Montero, but that's a silly reason....especially in this modern world where the population count is so high. Two points:

1. Population count is high enough that women will never be in short supply, no matter how many women decide to be soldiers. Remember that the military is NOT for everyone.... There are many many women who have no desire whatsoever to pick up a weapon and defend their country.

2. Your argument also does not work when you think about the reverse implications. I believe someone else mentioned that 5 men and 1 woman would create issues with procreation. Granted...it would, but so would 5 women to 1 man, in the long term. The reverse situation may be fine for the FIRST generation, but after that, you'd have a serious inbreeding problem. So genetically, there must ALWAYS be a balance between the genders.

i have come to see the light and have changed my view regarding this discussion. after further self inflection regarding the acts of women who are soldiers around the world and take up arms for their principles whatever they may be; i find it absolutely "ok". i thought about women suicide bombers and children generals and realized how morally high and antiquated the modern military(american) is in comparison. i will not try and go off topic about americas military but will say that women/children units/soldiers are just as necessary for the actions they partake in as any other tool of war.

attractiveness notwithstanding, the Soldier with the highest confirmed sniper kills is a woman, from the Soviet Army, In World War Two. definitely something to think about no?

being active duty military myself, i can tell you that women in the military is not an all good situation, there are a lot of negatives to it, and i'm not even talking about the women who are mistreated. Believe me, there aren't that many, the number of men getting mistreated in the navy at least greatly outnumbers the women.

Women in the Navy are held to lower standards, they have to meet lower physical standards than men, simply on the premise, that men are better built for it then women. Excuse me for being fair minded, but equal opportunity means just that. We are all required to do the same jobs, be it maintenance, damage control, or fighting. We all will have to go through the same physical rigors if we are attacked and the ship is lost.

Women in the Navy also get preferential treatment. I have seen several cases where a male loses rank, pay, and other things for fairly minor infractions, where females who commit the same offense can cry at captain's mast and get let off with a slap on the wrist. Also, women tend to be more subordinate, because they can show emotion and get out of trouble, this they know, and several do it a lot.

I am not saying that all women do these things, i know several women who are model sailors, and set the example for the rest of us. The bad thing is, is that the select few who choose to use their gender as leverage overshadow the ones who do a stand up job.

That being said, please, no offense meant to the women here, I just feel the need to tell the truth and not sugar-coat things.

No offense taken, at least, not by me. I agree that there is inequality with women in the military in ways that, I think, hurt morale of everyone. However, it is my opinion that the things you mentioned in your post are failures of those in command, and not necessarily women as soldiers. No individual - male or female - should be allowed to use manipulation tactics to avoid their job or responsibility for breaking rules. I agree that women "get off easier" and, as a woman, I have a problem with that. Equality means equality. If a woman wants to serve, she damn well better be able to qualify just as any man. That being said, I think it is debatable that just because a woman can't do the same number of pull-ups as a man that she cannot excel at a being a top ranked soldier.

I played ice hockey on co-ed teams long before women really played. At 5' 7" and 120 lbs, I was much MUCH smaller than my male counterparts. If I took a direct hit, yeah...it hurt like hell. Sometimes it put me out for the count. No question... However, I also knew how to use my size to an advantage. I knew I was smaller so I had to play SMARTER. I had the advantage of a lower center of gravity. I also could be quicker. I could easily be underestimated...something my opponents learned quickly to NEVER EVER do again. The same could be said about women soldiers. Yes, they may be physically smaller and incapable of doing some tasks, but don't ever underestimate their ability to be effective in the end game.

OK logging in for the fray here:
I AM a US FEMALE VETERAN OF COMBAT!
Woo - hello didn't see that coming did ya?

I did 55 (male style if you want to know) pushups on one of my Navy PFTs, all the squids who finished their max stood around counting as I continued on till time was up. I am NOT butch, don't even begin to look the slightest bit butch although I did have a commander once tell me I had the biggest balls he had ever seen.

I am also gonna try and break it down lightly for you . . . YOU NEVER KNOW who is going to be OK in combat and gender doesn't have a rats a$$ to do with it. It really comes down to the individual, OK. Men will cry and wet their pants as easily as any of the "girls" in fact my scariest moments in war came after we went through some sh*t and I watched the reaction of some of the MEN around me when we got clear and I could let it register what I had just been through.

Let me tell you another thing my butt meant nothing to those guys when it came down to it - the classified materials in our possession meant a whole lot more, so none of the men were considering my delicate constitution, IT WAS ABOUT THE FRICKEN MISSION. Bah, some of these stero types are so outdated!!! My MOS back home had nothing to do with what capacity I actually worked in "over there" - Sorry can't tell you where I was or what I did - but women are in combat and there aint no turning back, you trust me.

All I can say is that if I were killed by anyone of them, at least the last thing I saw would have been easy on the eyes.

My respectful applause to you for reiterating my previous points so beautifully! I'm glad you took the time to put these misguided boys in their place.
Realistically, prowess as a soldier comes down to psychological strength to endure hellish situations. I've seen many men, as well as women, who could never fit that bill. They just aren't cut out for it. And individuals who don't have that capacity - male or female - should not be in combat.

Personally, I'd prefer my fellow soldier be able to pull me out of a foxhole if I'm injured or in need of assistance.

Not one of those women could pull me out of a foxhole.

I'M JUST SAYIN'.

Sure a woman can join the military all she wants as long as its only combat support, not actual combat.

yeah i noticed that too.... She's definately holding the gun wrong. Though i suspect those women are models/porn-actors/tourists, etc just having some fun, and not actually military women, just women dressed up in uniform,..
