Do tell

Total control over people

That's where it's headed

The majority of the world's population will never be free. They will transition from poverty to slavery and oppression over thier mind. They will likely be kept in place by use of fear and heavy handed tyranical means backed up by technology.

You're close, you really are. Think about this. Whats the last line of defense that you have? You drew some parallels with your cross, bible, and flag, but these are tangible to you. Think hard......

Wrong. But thats not a surprise to me considering the topic of the thread. You need to channel that indifference else where. Right now it isn't giving you any answers. Hence, you are asking the ATS community for guidance. Kinda lost before you even started, huh?

I wasn't aware that this was a right or wrong subject or that there was a correct and an incorrect answer.

Beliefs!.

Exactly!.

I believe you're smart.

People have the opportunity to have their own ideas, develop them. But don't make excuses for why you hold the ideas you do. It's not about what others do, or "I'm this way because of others", make it your own.

I don't believe in the bible myself, but never throw out a 200+ year old book.

If its lost its sentimental value, sell it!

Don't EVER destroy books, of any kind, even if you don't believe in their message.

Surprisingly everyone in this thread has said don't destroy the book.

Most have said sell it or keep it.

If I sent out a Press release telling of the book, cross and flag burning it could prove to be interesting yes?

I take you for somebody that is fed up. I give you the benefit of the doubt on that. Im highly suspicious that you have a cross or a 130 yr old bible at all, however. I think you're trolling. Prove me wrong post pictures of these things in your possession, and prove me wrong. I will give you an apology. If you want enlightenment, be prepared to listen to somebody that knows what they are talking about.

I apologize. I've read your previous posts (in other threads) and took you for a troll. So I will apologize to you for that as well. Now may I ask you, does getting rid of these things really do anything for you truly? A true man or woman is unaffected by their surroundings because I can tell you, the problem is much deeper than these "symbols".

I'm not a troll, just angry that's all.

I don't even know who to be mad at anymore. Anyone and everyone will do I guess.

They may be keeping me and my family in a box as has been suggested by another poster.

What might the affects of these idols have upon my children?

Being rid of them could prove to be a weight off of my shoulders.

What are you angry about? Where is most of that anger directed at?

But we are all in boxes. Makes no difference if you got rid of these or not. Just because you threw these away doesn't mean you left the box.

Who knows? What makes you think they wouldn't find idols in something else? Kids will have to think for themselves, you won't hold hands with them when you're dead. I am a father myself, so I can relate a bit. If it would ease your mind just throw them away and be done with it. All you are gonna find here are a bunch of nonsense comments. Well except for mine of course.
