Whats Going On In Yemen?

Yemen is rocking and rolling with quakes right now!

This seems strange to me,there are allot of warships in the area,I hope nothing is going down over there..

What do you think?

Not sure whether its normal EQs, or man made EQs, military action or maybe building underground bases (nearly all of the EQs are 10 km in depth). Btw Djibouti and Gulf of Aden are very close to Yemen - so today, so far, there have been 27 EQs in the same area with a magnitude between 4.5 and 5.4. This certainly seems to be something significant,

I think this site a great tool. I don't know what is going on? Take a look at all of the currrent activity on the map. It's progressing from yemen and new quakes are happening seemingly in line, heading across the pacific. It's pretty weird how they are all close to the same magnitude. I'm looking out my window at puget sound and all seems "normal" for now.

This story is the same as in Kusadasi(Turkey) i have lived there for 4,5 years and normally there are earthquakes around 4 a year but the last 2 weeks there where 18 earthquakes the strenght of these quakes are not that high from 2.1 and the larger one was 4.8 i wonder why the reason is for that.

It's a very seismic area, earth crust moves a lot over there. Quakes are not unfrequent there, even though major quakes do not really happen. The Horn of Africa, which is very close to Yemen/Djibouti, is a totally unstable area and it's actually separating from Africa. Nothing unusual, "business as usual"

Thats a lot of quakes of that magnitude in a day and so shallow, 10kms..
I'll keep an eye on this thread,,

I was looking at all these Quakes in Yemen this morning on an App on my iPad!

My thoughts were the same, lots of Military Activity, lots of Earthquakes, similar magnitude etc etc.

So, is it Haarp, are they dropping some big bombs over there and the MSM aren't reporting it? Lots of questions, all will be revealed soon, hopefully?

I did see a lot about how Yemen just did a bombing run on a tribal area east of Sana, though. But that isn't anywhere near the epicenters of the "quakes".

Maybe they are all aslepp now and it hasn't yet been reported? Or I could have missed it somewhere... dunno.

There seems to be EQ activity at the Strait of Hormuz too. Interesting that both shipping passages to the Indian Ocean from Saudi Arabia are getting quakes, isn't it? Both places are narrow straits too. Hmmm...

Interesting... Above, I posted a link to a site that lists newspapers in Yemen and it got blocked! The site was onlinenewspapers dot com. What is the legal issue with those guys and ATS??

The blocked site was just a list of online newspapers around the world. I found it while googling for Yemen news outlets.

Anyways, the Yemen news sites I ended up at are:

Direct links removed, just in case ATS is just blocking all Yemen related news sources. Does anyone know any better local news outlets?

I've never been one to subsribe to the HARP theory. I think mother nature has plenty of surprises in store without having to bring mankind into it for entertainment value. If you look at the map you will notice that all this action is right on the fault line. I believe there is a good chance this is a build up to something big. Stay tuned!

Definately worth keeping an eye on. Not a 'regular' hotspot for EQ's of these magnitudes, to my knowledge anyway.

Thought it would be interesting to point out THIS article. Probably completely unrelated, don't think Dabbahu is active at the minute either but something worth mentioning imo.
