Just when it looked likely that the people of Southampton, UK were going to be tranquilised with Fluoride, like most Americans and like the people of Birmingham, UK, it looks like they might have managed to put a stop to this, though it's not over yet.

If you are reading this thinking "Fluoride, it's good for your teeth isn't it?" I suggest you do some Googling into the history of Fluoride, how it makes people complacent and how it was used by Hitler and Stalin to stop people from fighting back or trying to escape from camps. It causes a lot of health problems too, but the main purpose is to make the people easier to control. Its been in the water of Northern Ireland since the troubles, we were too mad and were fantastic at rioting; so they put it in our water to calm us down. It has calmed probably 90% of us down, now there are drugs called Magic and Blues on the street that dumbs the kids down in an instant; it even makes them hang themselves.

Lucky you Southampton, even my dentist here says I am silly for thinking that fluoride is bad for you. N.I. is getting flushed down the toilet.

Thanks, it makes complete sense they would have targeted Northern Ireland with Fluoride, though I never knew about this.

Fluoride research had its beginnings in 1901, when a young dental school graduate named Frederick McKay left the East Coast to open a dental practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When he arrived, McKay was astounded to find scores of Colorado Springs natives with grotesque brown stains on their teeth. So severe could these permanent stains be, in fact, sometimes entire teeth were splotched the color of chocolate candy. McKay searched in vain for information on this bizarre disorder.

McKay made two crucial discoveries. First, they showed that mottled enamel (as Black referred to the condition) resulted from developmental imperfections in children's teeth. This finding meant that city residents whose permanent teeth had calcified without developing the stains did not risk having their teeth turn brown; young children waiting for their secondary set of teeth to erupt, however, were at high risk. Second, they found that teeth afflicted by Colorado Brown Stain were surprisingly and inexplicably resistant to decay.

With these PHS investigations, research on fluoride and its effects on tooth enamel began in earnest. The architect of these first fluoride studies was Dr. H. Trendley Dean, head of the Dental Hygiene Unit at the National Institute of Health (NIH). Dean began investigating the epidemiology of fluorosis in 1931. One of his primary research concerns was determining how high fluoride levels could be in drinking water before fluorosis occurred. To determine this, Dean enlisted the help of Dr. Elias Elvove, a senior chemist at the NIH. Dean gave Elvove the hardscrabble task of developing a more accurate method to measure fluoride levels in drinking water. Elvove labored long and hard in his laboratory, and within two years he reported back to Dean with success. He had developed a state-of-the-art method to measure fluoride levels in water with an accuracy of 0.1 parts per million (ppm). With this new method in tow, Dean and his staff set out across the country to compare fluoride levels in drinking water. By the late 1930s, he and his staff had made a critical discovery. Namely, fluoride levels of up to 1.0 ppm in drinking water did not cause enamel fluorosis in most people and only mild enamel fluorosis in a small percentage of people.

What was I supposed to learn from this, that it was discovered after discovering people that had optimal levels of fluoride in their water had 'stronger' teeth...?

You will need to research more, I have studied this for a long time, there are also many documentaries available online. I have also spoken to people who work for the UK water companies on the matter and they are well aware of what's going on and completely against Fluoride being added to water supplies.

If I get some time tomorrow (I'm at work now) I'll get all the links together for you with documentaries.

I can understand your reaction as you've had the myth of Fluoride drilled into you over the years like everyone else.

I'd welcome anyone in this topic to provide a source to the claim that fluoride will somehow make you docile and that it was used for this purpose in concentration camps.

The first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water on Earth was found in Germany's Nazi prison camps

Fluoride occurs naturally in water, anyone who was drinking water with fluoride in it, as in the water was fluoridated.

Oh, I was wrong, it cites the book "The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben", which I've searched and cannot find any mention of anything relating to fluoride in it.

Just like arsenic and lead, very small amounts of fluoride can be found in most water supplies. There's a big difference between having very small amounts of Fluoride, Arsenic or Lead compared to having a much larger amount of Fluoride like there is in lots of US states.

It's virtually impossible to escape fluoride here in Brazil. Not only is all the tap water fluoridated, but so is all the bottled water as well. I've tried to make sense of this and the only reason I can come up with is that TPTB have added it to bottled water to ensure that EVERYBODY gets their fair share including the middle class and the rich who are the main consumers of bottled water. Yet I ask myself why? Why is it so important that everyone gets fluoridated? From the research I have conducted, it appears that areas with unfluoridated water have a very similar level of dental decay to fluoridated areas so I do not believe that dental health is the reason. If not dental health, then what?

As other posters have highlighted, there are other effects from fluoride. Hmmm.

Here in New Zealand the tap water is chock full of flouride my theory as to why is purely speculative but I think maybe they are trying very hard to calcify the pineal gland.... Just a thought.... Anyway keep up the good fight, cause no matter why they want flouride in our water it cant be good!

Hopefully we are going to prevent fluoride in our water, although the battle isn't over yet.

If the lunatics in charge of my local asylum get their way and put fluoride in the water then I'll move somewhere that doesn't.

That's good to hear, I would always move my family away from an area with fluoride in the water supply, even if it meant a much lower wage, it's a lot better than being poisoned

My mother did a dissertation on fluoride for her honors degree and passed with flying colours, its not a conspiracy I assure you. Her friend who was a professor has some insane water filter system in his own home, my mum said it took up half the wall of the kitchen on one side. Im for real, if you need more information to support what I have just said then I will post some more info tomorrow. Cant wake her out of her night sleep to ask her about fluoride now can I?

you were not aware you were not supposed to check a reference on a conspiracy site, conspiracy theorists are very well known to make up references, or claim reports are peer reviewed when they are not...

Therer is no reference to fluoride in that book, so why did the conspiracy theorists claim there was?

The Nazi's used Flouride in the concentraion camps to quell unrest by the prisoners held there, I'm sure the British Government doesn't want the people to think they in the Government are the same as the nazi's do they?

I'll all for flouridation of the water and foodstuff's PROVIDING it's CALSIUM flouride, not SODIUM flouride [ which is a by product of the aluminium indusrty.
