I looked all over the dhs.gov website and found this NOWHERE.

Unless there is more than Alex Jones as a source, I reserve the right to call baloney.

The picture I saw had this on it:

Which is an artists blog, it appears.

Here is where I ran across this, and I don't believe it is real:

Look at the print on the picture, mojito.

ok so someone translated it into french, considering its a cartoon SOMEONE had to produce it. plus i give the possibility it was just a tsa worker but just curious what reason do you have for suspecting the second photo to be photoshopped?

i admitted the fact that it could just be a truthful parody so reserve all the doubt you wish but it's still on a computer at an airport, if you can give me some reason to suspect it is photoshopped into the computer screen I'm all ears.

You can see the reflection of the photographer in the glass, and the picture is posted behind the desktop icons, and there doesn't appear to be any anomalies suggesting the image does not fit into the computer screen so if it is a fake it is a very good fake but I think it's real.

As I mentioned, it's a cartoon so obviously someone had to produce it. I'm sure the TSA worker didn't do it themselves, all I'm saying is they intentionally put that on their computer screen most likely as a sick joke, meaning they should be fired ON THE SPOT.

if it originated with a blog all that suggests is the TSA themselves did not create it, which is a stretch to assume the TSA would be stupid enough to create it since it seems a little over the top. However that doesn't deny a TSA worker putting it on their computer screen as if they are joking that they give pat downs to children.

Are you all arguing about the origin of the picture itself?

There's no doubt an artist who believed the TSA's security measures as being ridiculous produced it.

What I find disturbing is that it's sitting on someone's monitor at an airport in full view. (whether or not it is in fact a TSA inspector's monitor, is yet to be verified)

You are correct, the photo of the airport is real, and the Cavity cartoon is set as the wallpaper for that PC. That being said, I didn't need this photograph to let me know how completely UNPROFESSIONAL the TSA employees are. This photo does highlight the cultural attitudes these TSA people have: They are disturbed individuals.

I agree, it seems clear that the homeland security logo was just added by an artist, I stated the three possibilities of it being either 1. by the TSA, 2. posted by a worker, or 3. just a truthful parody. It seems like it is a combination of 2 and 3. But if you look at the background of the second photo you can see the walk through radar machines so what else could it be but a TSA station? Even if it is just some type of office for an airlines, the 'cavity search' can't be referencing anything but the pat downs of children. If it is an airline worker posting this picture as protest against the TSA then kudos for them but I suspect it's something more sinister.

I'm 50/50 on the second pic being real, on one hand I do believe that someone might be stupid enough to use this as wallpaper in real life, on the other hand you can get the same effect by setting the cartoon as your own wallpaper, pressing print screen and then pasting it into an image of a monitor so I really don't know

You'd have to first shrink the photo so pressing print screen won't be enough. I'm not saying it's impossible to do, but if it was photoshopped you would see some type of blur or an obvious paste onto the screen which I zoomed in as far as possible and it doesn't seem like that is the case.

I still think we should all start saying something to the TSA screener conducting the pat down which will:

• Publicly embarrass the screener
  
• Create a negative emotional impact on the screener
  
• Demoralize the screener

In short, if they want to give us an indignity, let's bounce it right back at them.

You are on to something there - I'm totally serious. I made a similar suggestion, here on ATS:

I still think we should all start saying something to the TSA screener conducting the pat down which will:

• Publicly embarrass the screener
  
• Create a negative emotional impact on the screener
  
• Demoralize the screener

In short, if they want to give us an indignity, let's bounce it right back at them.

and when they shout "opt out" we should do it ourselves to draw more attention so people will see what's going on then we can start preaching to the crowd that anwar al awlaki is a cia patsie and these terrorist measures are only to infringe on the fourth amendment
