Curly is my favorite. His facial expressions and especially upon getting smacked were the moments slapping of the knees became uncontrollable. His dancing/asserting himself; on his tippy toes...Classic!

Nostalgia ALERT!!!

Me and my brother used to watch all these as little kids and laughed our asses off. Don't they get any airplay anymore? Any young kids of today would laugh their asses off too. Laurel and Hardy fixing the boat nearly killed me through laughing.

I just saw the same thing in "Life Stinks" that reminded me of the Stooges.
Slapping one another saying "I'm richer than you".

Memorable quotes for Life Stinks (1991)

Goddard Bolt: Listen to me. You are not J. Paul Getty. You are a pathetic, broken-minded, little bum. In your mind you think you're J. Paul Getty but you're not. Whilst I on the other hand, am Goddard Bolt, a genuine financial giant.
J. Paul Getty: So am I!
Goddard Bolt: [slaps Getty] You're not!
J. Paul Getty: [slaps Bolt] I am!
Goddard Bolt: [slaps Getty] You're not!
J. Paul Getty: [slaps Bolt] I am!
Goddard Bolt: [slaps Getty] You're not!
J. Paul Getty: [slaps Bolt] I am!
Goddard Bolt: Wait. Come with me.
J. Paul Getty: Where we going?
Goddard Bolt: Over here, let's talk.
[they move a little down the sidewalk]
Goddard Bolt: Now look, let's be reasonable.
J. Paul Getty: O.k.

Can't find the film clip.
ED: You might find similar comedy in Abbott and Costello
and Marx Brothers.

I used to love watching the Little Rascals. I remember one time, this kid had two glass bottles, approached a busy road, chucked a bottle in the street, the cars screeched to a halt, and he crossed.....

The second bottle was for the trip back, when he did it again! Classic humor....

Those old school roast dinners are hysterical, and a great example of how they got around the censors of the time, hehe....

Great thread, like Laurel and Hardy....especially when they were dancing.

I think that is what they were doing.

Three things I noticed right away.
1) Moe had the monopoly on the smack down. Or is that the Moe down? LOL
2) Gosh, none of them had washboard stomachs and no one mentioned it!
and most important!
3) Slayer, u need a distraction. Go get laid!

Thanks for the great laugh, I needed it!

Finally made it back up to web status slay. This is my first reply to ATS in months and while I do agree with you that Moe was the man. Some of the faces Larry makes in reaction. Are so believable, I remember I used to grimace right along with him when I was a kid. Then all it took was for a pal to catch me doing that. That's where the long sessions of laughter would begin and lead to sideaches. They were definetly alot of fun for our generation. Thanks for the great reminder slay. Talk to you soon.

Curly was the man all the way.

A classic move was of him getting down on the floor and spinning around.

What most people do not know is he did that originally did that because he could not remember his lines!
