Those people who signed up where sadly very naive, and who knows why they choose too.

But like you say, if your anti war, how can you support, i understand families doing it, but if you have no relation there why?

I live near a Marine base. Most military personnel are basically children IMO. Most come from poverty areas and/or low income families - - and look to the military as a way out. Often with promises of education and other "carrots". Some of the methods 'some' recruiters use are outrages lies.

Young - Idealistic - indoctrinated by propaganda (from parents - environment - etc).

They need to know people care about them.

i pretty much agree with your sentimant.
i'm against the war, yet i do help pack gift boxes, i donate time to a pow/mia and a dav thrift stores.
one of my favs is donating books to these guys. about a thousand a year.

books for soldiers

i have no problem with the contradiction.

The troops didn't make the decision that we would go to war. The troops simply joined the military and thus was their job to go to war, despite whether they did or did not. Supporting the troops by sending them care packages is sending them things to help them get through their situation but it is not justifying the wars.

Thats utter bullcrap. Quit then.

The army is for killing people. If you dont want to kill people, dont join the army.

if your employer is making you steal things and do illegal activities, you quit. You dont say "Im just doing my job.", because that excuse sure didnt work for the Nazis.

you are so right, you think they(the ones that join) would know, if war breaks out they will be killing, the armed forces are just that, armed, that means you will in time, kill or get killed.
