Patriot Guard: 1 Westboro Baptist Church: 0, page 1

WBC is at it again, protesting soldiers funerals, this time they were drowned out by True Americans and the Patriot Guard.
WBC went to go protest at a funeral for a soldier that died in action, and the city turned out and blocked them completely from being seen OR heard. After TWO MINUTES, these slimebags gave up and left.
Score one for True Americans!
Before you post that you agree with them, the WBC, DONT, noone really cares to hear it, theyre NOT a church, they are a bunch of slimy lawyers twisting the Constitution and First Amendment to their liking, to preach hate and evil.
If we had LESS people like that around, the world MAY be a nicer place

Regardless of whether their private services or dogma is correct or incorrect, the fact is that these people who claim to worship the same God as I - a God of love and forgiveness, go out to military funerals with the intention to disrupt, sow dissent and otherwise harm what should be a sober, reverent farewell to a child, spouse and parent.

I wouldn't care if they were the only voices speaking out against puppy kicking, choosing to disrupt the funeral of someone you stood against in life is not only wrong, it's cowardly and TRAUMATIZES the family. How is that practice defendable morally? It's not.

These people have made a farce of religion and is just more proof that extremism exists on both sides of the isle.

I agree it's their right to free speech, but we have to be honest here. There IS an appropriate time for things, and a soldier's funeral is NO place for that kind of protest.

I am not a Jesus freak and I don't agree with all these nuts have to say. I did read the bible and according to what I have read, this is the only group standing up for Christian principles. Jesus hated the way religion was sold in the market and he trashed the place, he did it with great hatred. People are appauled at how these nuts protest a funeral but when a child gets intentionaly shot in the face by an antitank round , they just say it is part of war. The religious contempt is in the wrong place. Nobody argues with them effectively and they just start spewing insults. I decided to side with them after an interview I saw on NBC, but I can't find it.
In order to move toward the middle, someone has to push way to the left, and they are doing it. God Bless the courage they have to stop the war. American religious doctine has been on the side of war, and this needs to change. Maybe 10 or 20 people in the whole world will change their view of these nuts like I did. Sorry if my opinion angers 99.9% of the world, but I gotta speak the truth, it is part of my religion.
