If Jesus was God, why did he pray to himself?

They removed any reference to His deity.
I'm looking at a table of removed texts and there are a total of three, outside of the Gospels and Acts.
You don't think there would have been any discussion about deity outside those? You might want to elaborate or is that just something you read on a blog and never verified for yourself?

Matthew 18:26 & Matthew 20:20: Removed "worshipped Him".

Mark 13:6 & Luke 21:8: Removed the word "Christ".

John 1:3: Changes "all things were made BY Him" to "all things were made through Him."

Phil. 2:6: Change "thought it not robbery to be equal with God" to "did not consider equality with God as something to be grasped."

example of His deity attacked:

KJB Luke 2:43:

"And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it."

NIV Luke 2:43:

"After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it."

Joseph is not the Father of Jesus. Jesus even corrects His mother when she says this in verse 48 to which Jesus corrects by saying He was in His "Father's house", the Temple.

Why not?
Don't you talk to yourself in your own head?

IF you were bifurcated into two beings, you could have a full fledged conference with yourself.

I agree, and to expand on this: Person of the Trinity - GODHEAD
Patristic Writers speak frequently of the "divine economy" where by the Three Persons of the Trinity have different functions-as that the Father is God "above" us, the Son "with" us, and the Spirit is God "in" us. For the Third person of the Trinity is precisely that "breath of God", the ruach Adonai, which was breathed into the mouth of Adam...

Scutum fidei = Arms The shield of faith

Scutum fidei vel Arma Trinitatis est signum inveteratum doctrinae Trinitatis in Christianitate
"The shield of faith is a sign of inveterate or weapon of the Trinity doctrine of the Trinity in Christianity".

Adsunt in hoc signo duodecim enuntiationes:
"Pater est Deus"
"Filius est Deus"
"Spiritus Sanctus est Deus"
"Deus est Pater"
"Deus est Filius"
"Deus est Spiritus Sanctus"
"Pater non est Filius"
"Filius non est Pater"
"Pater non est Spiritus Sanctus"
"Spiritus Sanctus non est Pater"
"Filius non est Spiritus Sanctus"
"Spiritus Sanctus non est Filius"

They are present in this signal twelve announcements:

"Father is not the Son"
"The Son is not the Father"
"Father is not the Holy Spirit"
"The Holy Spirit is not the Father"
"The Son is not the Holy Spirit"
"The Holy Spirit is not the Son"

"God is the Father"
God is the Son"
"God is Spirit"
"The Father is God"
"The Son is God"
"The Holy Spirit is God"

"God is the Father"
God is the Son"
"God is Spirit"
"The Father is God"
"The Son is God"
"The Holy Spirit is God"
Which means they are three individual persons.
That was decided on very early on in the history of Christianity.
Whatever arguments that came up over that general scheme was in how that works exactly.

Jesus is not the "word". It never says that in the Bible, neither does it say Jesus is the "Torah".
Jesus, in one sense, is the Name of God, who reveals to humanity the character of God.

The "being one" means one in purpose and not one as in a single entity.
There already was the idea of a "godhead" before Jesus, so he came at the right time where people could readily accept the concept.
