Getting 'ufos over NY' via twitter was awesome. Wikileaks under attack - awesome.

Getting actual breaking headline news via twitter makes such a silly seeming site more than worthwhile.

However, of recent it seems that every thread created of great import or nominal importance is tweeted

Maybe we can make a everything posted under the sun tweet page and a 'breaking news' tweet. Maybe some people want nearly ever thread tweeted to them. It kills my battery, clogs my phone etc etc.

If you don't like it unfollow.

I did. But would like to follow 'breaking' news. Every thread posted gets through? Isnt there a way to make them more selective. Spam is never good in any form.
