Man... I can't get over how adversarial and partisan you Americans are. You have been well and truly divided, and thus weakened. Either you guys pull together and stop squabbling over false dichotomies, or you're going to be well and truly owned. Those who weave the grand illusions clearly have you all focused on the wrong hand.

anyone who quotes Bill Maher as an authority on anything is clearly either....

1. Delusional

2. Severely misinformed...

3. Easily lead a stray

LoL that guy is the most ignorant mouth piece for the left I have ever seen....

that's rich man
jeebus...and these guys pick on beck?
ok, whatever...

i was typing out a long reply describing the difference between me [white] walking through a black hood, and a black guy walking through my hood. Point being, nothing would happen to the black guy, heck, like as not somebody would offer a ride or cold drink; but let ME be in the "hood" and see what happens...

not even gonna try to explain it, some famous redneck once said --"You can't fix stupid"--
No animals where intended to be harmed in the typing of this post.

Have you ever been to a black neighborhood. Obviously not. I see white men and women walking around black neighborhoods daily. Nothing happens. Unfortuantely as a black man, I work in a white neighborhood, and I seem to get pulled over or harrassed atleast once every couple of months. So that in my opinion really is an ignorant statemnet you just made that is only based off assumptions. Unless you have been to one, and something happened then I can maybe agree with you. Why is that some white people truely believe that we as black man are unruly beligerent animals ready to pounce on white women and beat up white men at any oppotunity. Why so scared, are you truly that afraid of us. Why am I even on this thread entertaining this BS. Anyway i'm out, bout to go find me a blonde hair blue eyed white woman to sexually assult with my mandingo penis.

I am not racist, but do not act like that stuff never happens.

The cops could not determine if it was racially motivated...but they were screaming "It's beat whitey night!"

Could you imagine how incredibly more intense the backlash would have been if it was 30 white guys, yelling "Its beat the blacks weekend!" and assaulting black people?

I meet black individuals quite often who say slavery justifies them beating on white people.

Lower social-economic neighborhoods are scary no matter what color of skin dominates them, racially motivated attacks DO happen.

In other words, every race has racist people who make unfortunate decisions. If you are severely out numbered by that race, I.E. A white in a black neighborhood, A Latino in a white neighborhood, a black in a Asian neighborhood, I am sure the chances of an attack are higher, not guaranteed, but higher.

To the OP:

I support the Tea Party, but do not consider myself a member. The point I came into this thread to make is unless you want people judging your political beliefs, and going to extremes...Don't do it to other people.

You can say Tea Party members and Conservatives are racist...but don't get upset when people call Liberals, and Democrats, Communists.

The reality as demonstrated by the recent elections about racism is in my opinion that liberals push and are more inclined to promote and accept various ethnic "groups". Part of the "group think" mentality, where they are unable to accept differences of opinion and immediately attack the individual rather thank their ideas ie "Tea Party doesn't agree with Obama therefore they are racists".

Conservatives tend to accept individuals, but are less inclined to accept a groups solely on their ethnic membership. ie "don't like New Black Panthers, but love Allen West,Colon Powell, etc"

Finally, we tend to beat ourselves up in the USA over race, an issue used to seperate and conquer by the Secular Socialist. If one really wants to to see racism you need to get out of this country and look at real racism in other countries around the world.

Depending on which neighborhood you go to it doesnt matter what color you are. There are ignorant young punks willing to do anything to anyone just out of stupidity. Hell, there are several neiborhoods I personally would not go to, both black and white. So you are right, in any low class area there is a greater chance of someone being attacked if they are not from there. As far as the beat whitey vid, I didnt even watch, but I can already assume what the intent was behind it.

This is posted squarely to move the right/left discussion past the:" Racist teaparty republicans don't like the Prez because he'sa "BLACKMAN"! b.s. When we have honest issues with the mans views and politics.

Yet the post is still about race.

Obviously you still have a serious problem about race or the post would be about the honest issues that you have with the President's views and politics.

How feelings about race still has the power to remove all common sense from the brains of even the usually sound of mind is one of the most amazing dysfunctions of mankind.

I get it. The president is a black man. The tea party republicans don't like him. The reason they don't like him is not because he is a black man.

You can now move squarely past the

" Racist teaparty republicans don't like the Prez because he'sa "BLACKMAN"! b.s.

Nevermind the fact that your commenting on a republican winning in a district that republicans have been winning in for the past 30 years, let's move on to this:

Republicans take House, minorities make history

Before you get too excited;

Mark Sawyer, a UCLA professor and director of the university’s Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity and Politics, said Obama’s election pushed the Republicans to adjust to a more diverse electorate by seeking out minority candidates.

But he noted that almost all the victorious Republican minorities were elected in majority-white areas and opposed measures such as comprehensive immigration reform that are favoured by many Latinos and blacks.

“This election does not show a substantive embrace of a minority agenda,” Mr. Sawyer said.

So both of your assumptions that the Republicans are more inclusive than Democrats simply for attaining more seats with minority's is a thin veil to the fact that the winners of these elections may not have won because of their race, color or creed...but mainly because they had an (R) instead of a (D).

I don't know if you noticed, but Republicans swept the house and gubernatorial races...not because they're friendly to minorities, but because they're Republicans.

Actually, I don't know what was behind the Iowa State Fair beatings, but having grown up in Iowa, I just assume the internet had little to do with it, Black people started beating on White people and I guess it just snowballed from there.
