A small plane carrying nearly two dozen people crashed in Karachi on early Friday morning, with smoke seen rising from the crash site, authorities said.

The small aircraft, carrying employees from a U.S. oil company, crashed in the area of Gulistan-e Jauhar in Karachi, shortly after departing Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan's largest city.

This is quite interesting. An airplane carrying oil company employees crashed.

The latest reports indicate that no one survived.

Pervez George , a spokesman for the country's Civil Aviation Authority, told Geo TV there had been a "problem in one of the engines".

Which wouldn't be unusual with an elderly aircraft and poor maintence.

Also according to the BBC there were 22 people killed in the crash, which had no survivors.
