A small plane carrying nearly two dozen people crashed in Karachi on early Friday morning, with smoke seen rising from the crash site, authorities said.
The small aircraft, carrying employees from a U.S. oil company, crashed in the area of Gulistan-e Jauhar in Karachi, shortly after departing Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan's largest city.
Pervez George , a spokesman for the country's Civil Aviation Authority, told Geo TV there had been a "problem in one of the engines".
