The Palestinian terrorism network seems to be cranking it up again as just as Israel prepares to leave the Gaza Strip. What could be the motive for wanting to interfere in what will only grant the Palestinians greater freedom in the Gaza Strip?

ArabNews.com
Rockets fired by Palestinians from Gaza killed two people in Israel yesterday for the first time a three-year-old boy and a man in a surge of violence ahead of an Israeli pullout from the Gaza Strip.

This kind of attack will only steel the resolve of hardliners to separate the Palestinian poor from the rest of Israel. Perhaps this attack is a Mossad operation rather than a Hezbollah attack or the like. It is the first major attack in 3 months. Hopefully it will not be the beginning of another holy war of blown up children and senseless retaliatory strikes.

THis certainly does smack of a Mosad operation. Why woudl the Palistinians suddely revert to using indiscriminate rocket attacks, especially in the vacinity of a school. It just doesn't seem right. Even Arafat is not that stupid or senile. There is definately more here than meets the eye. It is almost as if Israel is trying to get some attention diverted back to itself from the Iraq theatre.

It's an outrage that children are harmed by this ongoing violence. That said, where is the "fair and balanced" "no spin" reportage of the many Palestinian children that have been killed and maimed by Israel's indiscrimate attacks on civlian areas?

My friend did you check the news source on this article. It is an arab newspaper that if anything is slanted against Israel. This is pure and simple reporting not spinning. If anyone has a spin to push here it would seem to be the one doing the typing. I do not discount that there are attrocities on both sides yet a report from one side does not mean that you must go and dig up a report from the other side. If you would like to post a link or two to such stories that would be most appropriate but to simply rant about "no spin" and "fair and balanced" when the reporting source is an Arab new service is just ludicrous.

From the Washington Post article:

A 3-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man were killed Monday morning when a crude, Palestinian-made missile slammed into the street in front of a nursery school in this working-class city near the Gaza Strip...

That's just sick.
In front of a nursery school.
A NURSERY SCHOOL.

Jesus.

*sighs*

Maybe because their leadership and organization abilities of Hamas and Al-Aqsa have been shattered in the last few months. This attack reeks of desperation. They are too disorganaized and perhaps utterly unable to launch a suicide bomber attack. Rockets typically aren't that accurate, especially primitive ones like the Qassam, which may suggest the deaths were just luck on the part of the Palestinians.

The Palestinian groups can't have their cake and eat it too. If they want war, all the better for them, but when the Israeli counter-attack comes, don't whine about the death of civilians when Hamas and Islamic Jihad are using women and children as human shields. Operating a bomb shop in a building with many children present is a horrendous crime. Don't just overlook that.
