This movie came out in the late 1970's or early 80's and was a made-for-tv movie. The plot was that a nuclear bomb had hit the U.S. and what came after. What made this movie different was that it was kinda like War of the Worlds back in the 1930's. The movie was made to be happening in real time like everything was real and it was really happening right then. I remember that they ran disclaimers during the movie claiming that it was not real and was only a movie. It seems to me that at the time some people were upset after the fact because they had thought that it was real. Any help remembering the title would be greatly appreciated.

Nope it's not The Day After. That was done in movie format whereas the one I'm talking about was more like it was really happening right then. Thanks anyway!
