This whole "GOP Against Palin" story is totally fabricated. They will stop at nothing to bring her and any other conservatives down.

Don't buy into this nonsense that she's un-electable and only there to make sure Obama serves a second term. Sarah Palin .

Indeed, Sarah Palin is the best thing the democrats have going for them right now.

Actually Sarah Palin can't run for POTUS becausewhat a lot of people don't know and what the tea party is hiding is that she was in fact born in Kenya.

I heard about this on the radio today while I was driving.

It makes a lot of sense for them to do the same thing they did in 2008 and setup someone who can't compete. They need a strong face and character to beat Obama in 2012.

Don't buy into this nonsense that she's un-electable and only there to make sure Obama serves a second term. Sarah Palin is a major force to be reckoned with and has more American's pulling for her than the media is reporting. Once you filter out the BS that the MSM puts out there, it becomes more and more clear that they are deathly afraid of her and others like her and that probably includes you also.

But don't take my word for it....

OK, I will bite. I refuse to believe the way the MSM is reporting Palin's popularity. I am more than willing to believe that what you are saying - that she has way more support than we are told - is true. As you said though, not to take your word for it. So I am kind of obligated to ask who's word I should take for it? How do you know about all this support? What are your sources? Just curious.

If Palin is such a joke, why is she gaining popularity?

Because our nation seems to be condemned to stupidity, for our sins. The lag between the complexity of modern economics, sociology and politics, on one hand -- and people's education, on the other, is ever growing. So people look for simple answers, even when those come from an imbecile.

I think Sarah Palin has perfectly summed up her entire campaign in a recent interview on Fox news. The problem is that apparently her supporters are under some kind of spell.

After spending the last two years complaining that a "community organizer" is a horrible qualification for someone who wants to be president (because apparently that is all Obama had ever done before) -
she now goes on to defend being a reality tv star by claiming that the standards for good presidents do not need to be all that high, after all the almighty Ronny Reagan was in "Bedtime for Bonzo."
Palin defends reality show

So she is more qualified to be president because unlike Obama who was just a community organizer, she is going to be on tv like a good president.

Exactly. Long after Charlie Sheen holds a knife to his wife's throat while his children are in the house, he does $8000 in damage to a hotel room while naked because he believes the porn star with him stole from him and he is still pretty damn popular in the US. I am not sure why people would want to pick a presidential candidate by who sits at the cool table at lunch period instead of who is in the library learning something.

Sarah Palin is THE best possible choice and beyond the fact that she is very qualified for the office, the thing that makes her the best choice is that she scares BOTH parties so bad.

They picked her thinking she would disappear after the election and never be heard from again. I don't think she can be controlled by whoever pulls the D.C. puppet strings and that scares them.

RUN SARAH RUN!!! PALIN 2012

I love Charlie, he's a cool actor, and yes he did a bunch of stupid things -- but at any rate, he's not running in these elections and not in any others as far as I can see.

So your saying that CBS has already identified her as a threat in some way and are already trying to put her in a negative light? Hmm sounds a bit biased to me comming from the media. What a shocker! I like Palin just fine, she has solid conservative values. Only threat is to big government and the deficit. Both of which need to be downsized. : )

LOL, I like Charlie too, as an actor. I know he is not running. I was simply agreeing with you that the people in the US decide who is and who is not popular on decisions that are perhaps a bit less in depth than maybe those required for vetting a political candidate. Popularity does not equal ready for office is all I was saying. Sorry if that was too far off topic for you.

Actually, Charlie Sheen is pretty much a perfect comparison here. There is something about her supporters I just do not get and maybe he can help me ask it. Like I said, I like Charlie Sheen as an actor. I would probably not like him as much as an airline pilot, babysitter, or drug counselor. His job fortunately is actor and his duties are to entertain. He does entertain me, therefore I like him as an actor.

So to the people that support Sarah Palin, I am curious about something. What exactly do you like her as? What is it she is good at? You cannot really say "governing" because she has not really even given that much of a try. So what do people like Sarah Palin as? What has she been doing the she does well that is a reason to feel she is good at it?

Of course it is the media's fault. We all know the "lame stream" media is out to get her and it is simply the smear campaign orchestrated by the mainstream media outlets against her. I know this because I hear her say it all the time on Fox News, the most watched cable news network, where she works and spends much time promoting her upcoming reality show set to air on yet two different networks. The conundrum that is Palin intrigues me so.

Please tell me how Sarah Palin is qualified to be the POTUS. I'm not even going to ask you for details, just generalize about her qualifications and what she brings to the table. I will even start it for you, she reads a great speech. She can't write it, but she can read the heck out of it! So, please, give me just four qualifications that make her evenly remotely qualified to be this country's President.

This isn't some high school popularity contest, this is the real world. We need a President that will bring this country together! That will work to fix the economy, bring REAL jobs back from overseas, stop NAFTA and protect our borders. So, please, for the love of Ronald Wilson Reagan, please tell me how she is qualified.

I'm going to laugh at all of you when she doesn't throw her hat in the ring to run for President.

I honestly don't think she will even attempt to run and find all of these attempts to throw more mud at her laughable.

1. She is a US citizen.

2. She is not a felon.

You don't need four reasons. Those 2 right there are qualification enough.

You've got to be kidding me. Our local hobos fit that qualification. You sir/madam sum up what's wrong with this country and reinforces the case to deny voting rights to individuals based on an IQ test.

And that is why they created the electoral college, to ensure we don't allow someone with only those qualifications to gain the Presidency. I seriously doubt that she will run, she is more cheerleader than contender but stranger things have happened.

Thats the great thing about our country. Anyone that fits those two qualifications can run for the Presidential Office. Your question makes it seem that you only believe a select few can run and that is in effect anti american and is one step away from a monarchy. After all only a select few are qualified to become king or queen.

The question you should have asked is why anyone should vote for her to become President.

I would also ask that you not attack me personally as that is against ATS code of conduct.

You sir, have more restraint than I do. Opportunities to rip apart logic on that level comes once in a blue moon!
