There are several predictions long standing ones at that that are pointing to the time period in the next two weeks including web bot time wave zero and current events just plain look hinky on top of all that...

Think about north korea is now acting squirrelly having tested nukes and lobbed shells recently yet they're planning a g20 summit there the 11th? Oh then factor in that Obama (rightfully or not is not what I am mentioning this to debate but the fact that it's being portrayed this way is just plain significant) is seeming

A: Scared (I would be too after vest pocket vetoing the notary rules change that they tried to push through the day before the fall congressional and senate session ended.) This legislation is quite literally THE ONLY THING that could have stopped MASSIVE legal liabilities and opening up the entire financial system to a CRASH event worth of liability. Now with the wet signature laws still in effect for property transfer and the standards of a valid notarization remaining the same MERS is now a fraudulent entity and the REMIC's and securities and CDS swaps have all become De facto EMPTY boxes leaving the BIG BOYS open to HUGE lawsuits and asset rollbacks that could essentially GUT AND BURN the entirety of the regional and national banking houses and a good portion of the market! (If you disagree with the scope fine but when you run the numbers of off balance sheet CRAP that veto essentially turned into legally Indefensible positions that expose the ISSUERS to at the very last FULL CIVIL LIABILITY if not ORANGE JUMPSUITS the dollar amount is in the two to three years of GNP range!!)

B: About to get hit from the inside and scapegoated by his own party: There is no question that he is the fall guy... (couldn't have happened to a nicer guy LOL... at least for once I can smile and know the guy getting BENT OVER by political maneuvers and VIOLATED probably with something BIG AND SPLINTERY DESERVES IT)

C: About to RUN LIKE HELL and leave us all to take the the hit while he leaves with an entourage and a 747 baggage compartment full of bullion and HEAVY WEAPONS (because everyone knows democratic politicians are only against US having weapons they need their Security...) funny how they feel the need to be safe and secure but we are told that we need to depend on the police and government to PROTECT us even though the SUPREME COURT says FLAT OUT that the police are NOT THERE TO PROTECT us but to ENFORCE THE LAW AND ARREST PEOPLE AFTER THE FACT.

NEVER EVER TRUST ANYONE WHO ISN'T WILLING TO LIVE BY THE PRINCIPLES THEY EXPECT YOU TO LIVE BY

Oh while we're on that subject ROBERT REDFORD big sierra club boy that he is ... wants all of us to conserve and not even own a car and live in cold houses all winter.... oh and wind turbines and PV solar which got large large subsidies are THE WORST MOST EXPENSIVE LEAST EFFICIENT FORMS OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY... Fun fact kids modern land based wind turbines even in BEYOND OPTIMAL scenarios CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE be used to generate as much useful power in THEIR USEFUL LIFESPAN as it takes To PRODUCE INSTALL AND MAINTAIN same TURBINE.

Geothermal is feasible in 85% of the US but would work best at the individual building or city block level in most cases ... solar concentration well don't get me started on that concentrator technology could create manufacturing and on site waste treatment etcetera on site for even small to medium sized developments on a cost competitive basis with big utilities and centrallized processing EASILY!!

My point to all of this is simple... we have been herded and cajoled into a societal structure that is MONOLITHIC and centralized as a method of control. That is the key point people miss anything that could make a small community more than 65% percent able to meet it's own needs within it's borders is a threat to EXISTING POWER STRUCTURES!!

Centralization means we can't fight back because we know if we do we're back to the 1800's
Remember this in the days and weeks ahead as you plan and implement long term survival strategies...
Always keep the question in your head WHY DO THEY NOT WANT US TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT? and the sister question HOW CAN I BE SELF SUFFICIENT IN SPITE OF THIS WITHOUT DRAWING UNDUE ATTENTION?

that undue attention question is IMPORTANT people!! especially with the law of the seas and other UN mandates coming down and passing as riders buried deep in other bills ... (in most of the US you are now BREAKING THE LAW IF YOU COLLECT RAINWATER ON YOUR PROPERTY)

Government shut-down due to no budget. Ok, I do remember that Nancy Pelosi stated that there was no budget to be made for the next fiscal year 2011. Only to mention it will be made after the elections. You guys remember this right? Could this be the event? I do remember that last time the Government, shut down sometime in the Regan years. I did not get paid for a month because there was no budget. I did stock up on some food too.

As for the OP, all I can say is, it just could be hear-say and simple warning. That you friends, friend is worried he might not get paid because there is no budget. That sounds like the most reasonable explanation to me. Rumors spread in the Government to you know, and most likely from the people that once had the same experience as I did. “I hope I get paid or I will have to stock up on canned food. Until the budget get straighten out” then it goes through the grape vine and end up here on ATS as doom and gloom thread. So there you have it folks, a simple explanition.

I just had a terrible dream tonight:it was some major war with missile attacks, then i dreamt of lots of explosions and fireworks, and then a black cloud of ash....

I hope that my dream was just related to some sort of timeline that we decide not to experience. That we come here by end November and nothing have happened. I will do meditation and send some good vibrations...

Not to be dismissive of your dream, but sometimes we need to be careful about interpreting them since we are bombarded by the images you just described everyday, what with playstation game adds, apocolyptic movie adds etc... These images can creep into our physche and re-appear in our dreams as we process stuff. Of course, you may well have had some scary insight but I'm really hoping it was just residual imagery from the media and not a 'vision' of things to come...! Yikes!

I'm just not sensing anything this month. All of October though, I felt as if anything could happen. Maybe it's just me though.

When the Taj Mahal was constructed some of American contractors were able to build in a very sweet sweet feature a Gulag a underground bunker with 3 meter reinforces steel concrete walls and a 2 meter titanium wall between the 2 slabs of concrete. Now as due to the fact that USA does not own a Gulag on American soil they are unable to fully properly shield from war. Oh India is a safe place and to rent out the whole Taj Mahal is a specific purpose it will become the main strong hold point in case of war.

Now the thing that is true is that the American President was not tipped off he was ordered and the troops which he is taking with him are for a reason. He is estimated to be bringing with him about 1000 troops now and this is quiet interesting many of those troops are special forces. So resulting in a fact that this is a huge massive power of a task force to be having just enough to guard and protect a Gulag.

Thus with America we can see many things happen either 1. America will go into a world war 3 or 2. there will be a civil war and it will be the governments fault so they will try to hang the president. In neither case the American people are not safe and couple things may play out bad for the rest of the world.

Definitely A. Obama is protecting his mule and probably on the run. Lol we should thank Obama for this "showdown" about to happe. Obama pulled a Kenneddy and he is not waiting for his "invitation" to Texas. The election of a "socialist" president is starting to make sense now lol. The DO(S)J won’t say why it picked certain jurisdictions and not others:

The Department of Justice has announced that it is deploying “more than 400 federal observers and department personnel to 30 jurisdictions in 18 states” from its Civil Rights Division to monitor polls on Election Day tomorrow.

It is the responsibility of state and local governments to administer elections, but the Civil Rights Division is empowered to make sure that Americans have equal access to ballots.

According to a Justice Department release, the poll monitors will, among other tasks, “gather information on whether voters are subject to different voting qualifications or procedures on the basis of race, color, or membership in a language minority group.” The Civil Rights Division has also set up a phone number and web portal to allow people to complain of voter intimidation or coercion.

Observers will be deployed in jurisdictions in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

A representative for the Department of Justice told Hotsheet that she could not get into specifics about why certain jurisdictions were chosen.
