I watched this program on The Learning Channel (rather like watching a train wreck) and after seeing the moms ridiculously stepping through the kids'
routines while the kids were on stage, I have no doubt that many of these parents have deep, deep psychological issues. They seem to be living
vicariously through their children, many of whom could not care less about the pageant.
And, rewarding kids for looking pretty and fitting into a set of physical specs? Don't get me started! The worst episode was when the Grand Supreme
prize was a puppy. A puppy.
An interesting side note: I noticed that many of the moms are freakin' HUGE! Now, I'm not knocking anyone's appearance. 'Just saying it seems odd
when heiffer moms put so much effort and expense into squeezing their children into perfect little bikini-clad, suntanned, big-haired packages while
they, themselves, look like poster children for the local Liposuction clinic.
