We shall talk to obama as the "all mighty ruler of the world" and hail him, For he is king!

Seriously man, obama knew what was coming by coming on the daily show. Obama didnt seem pissed off, and he shouldnt be. Its not like he called him a communist or socialist.

This has already been found to be a weak attempt at misinformation in this thread.

1) You only find "news" about the charges on right-wing opinion blogs or the WeAreChange website.
2) WeAreChange decided to post this today, one day before the rally...and an ENTIRE MONTH after the stuff supposedly happen. You'd think something like that would be posted asap, like most other assault charges by movie stars for example. But they chose the day before the rally...hilarious

3) No other MSM outlet reported on it...you'd think something like that would be out there VERY fast.
4) The guy who supposedly got beaten said he had cuts and bruises that took a month to heal...but that it's useless to follow up on the matter legally. If it takes cuts a MONTH to heal, the cuts are severe (I Thai box, and not a single cut in over 6 years took a month to heal)...and it would be suuuuper easy to throw Albanese in jail. Yet he says it's "useless and a waste of money"...yeah, doesn't sound dodgy at all.

Look, WeAreChange doesn't like Stewart because he doesn't believe in the whole 911-truther movement. But this weak attempt at misinformation is so badly done, it makes the whole organization look like a bunch of fools.

How was the video found to be an attempt at misinformation? Because someone said it was misinformation in the thread you linked? Need something little deeper than that.

Media doesnt cover Daily show producer arrested for punching a truther? Since when does the media cover 911 truth?
Even the 911 families who lost their loved ones at www.NYCCAN.org... dont get coverage in their long fight for the truth....

I agree. I saw this vid last night. It makes anyone who questions 9-11 look like an A$$. I might punch someone if they were shoving a camera in my face and harassing me.

The fact that there is no assault in the video and no arrest in the video and a month later have still failed to prove their "claims" is all that is needed to prove it is what it is. Take that argument to the disinfo thread about it if you feel so strongly about it otherwise it goes from weak disinfo to driveby weak disinfo.

Stewart had condoleezza rice on his show few days ago, he asked 0 hard hitting questions... why didnt he ask about the WMD, or her testimony to the 911 comission about the 1000 warnings, or the "enhanced interogation" torture that provided them with Al Quadas history etc

That's what I thought too. I mean, you couldn't even see the guys entire head, just part of his face. How damn close was that camera to his face. If some obnoxious guy shoves a camera into your face, and doesn't let you pass...well...he's kinda asking for it. I'd definitely warn him that I feel "threatened" before punching him, but if he kept on touching me he would have ended up on the floor too.

The whole thing is dodgy anyway. If he really had cuts that were so deep they took a month to heal, Albanese would be in jail by now, no question about it. The mere fact that he isn't shows just what a poor attempt at misinformation this whole post by WAC is.

The sad thing is, I do believe people should be allowed to ask questions regarding 911 and other things. But what WeAreChange did here makes the whole organization look like obnoxious fools.

Exactly where in the video shoves WAC a camera in someone's face?
They are waiting outside for Stewart comes out to ask him questions, instead his producers and bodyguards come out and intimidate and go crazy because WAC say the 911 families started the truth movement....

How 911 truth movement started

1min35sec into the video...

Look, this isn't a 911-truth vs XYZ discussion, so posting a 911 video is kinda pointless. 911 isn't the subject of this thread and therefore off-topic.

Fact is, they claimed Albanese hit someone so severely, it took a month for all cuts and bruises to heal. They back this up in no way, and Albanese is a free man. If someone hits someone so he suffers cuts that are so severe they take a month to heal, he ends up in jail...UNLESS that's not what happened. The whole thing hasn't been reported ANYWHERE but the WAC site (and prisonplanet...but they're a "questionable" source at best), and they only chose to post this today, a day before the rally. If you're alarm bells don't go off knowing all that, you're blind!

The sad part is, they make the 911-truth movement look like a bunch of fools. Why are they even bugging the guy? He has nothing to do with 911! What did they expect him to say? He's not even a public figure!

I actually had WAC bookmarked a while back (never really looked into it), but that BM is now deleted. That post was such a clear pathetic attempt at...well, I don't even know what their goal was...

She was there promoting her book. The interview was about her book. It seems odd you would even try to use that example as Stewart did indeed broach a subject on which they might more at odds about but said it was a "conversation for another time." It is pretty much the same reason the last time Bruce Willis was on, there were no questions about the season finale of moonlighting.

For those morons who are to partisan to understand the dude comment.

The quote went like this...

"First of all," Obama replied, "if you look at how we have handled this financial crisis -- if you had told me two years ago that we're going to be able to stabilize the system -- stabilize the stock market, stabilize the economy -- and by the way -- at the end of this thing it, will cost less than 1% of GDP ... I'd say we'll take that because we saved taxpayers a whole lot of money. And in fairness, Larry Summers did a heck of a job trying to figure out how to ..." The echoes of President George W. Bush praising FEMA head Michael Brown in after Hurricane Katrina rang through the minds of many and elicited laughter in the studio and a smirk on Stewart's face.

"You don't want to use that phrase dude," the host advised.

latimesblogs.latimes.com...

Accept the funny and move on. Shesh oh Pete, some hyper-partisan people.

Certain words can be used in certain situations to "bring down" the stress level. Saying a joke when two enemies meet, changing the topic, ect.

From that quote, it sounds to me like Jon was trying to do two things -
1. He was trying to disarm the tense feelings in the audience. Most people who attend the Daily Show do not look favorably on Dubya, and Obama has been criticized on the show lately for, basically, laziness in his presidential reign. Drawing a line between the two, with the sitting President right in front of you basically resaying a buzz phrase from the others years is not a smart idea, however romantic it may seem to us cheerleaders on the side.

2. He was trying to bring the President down a few notches. For God's sake, you're on a show watched by midnight intellectual stoners and insomniac philosophers. You don't have to spew buzz words and layer your sentences so deeply. Yes, the MSM will re-hash what you said in the morning and may call you "stupid", but part of the Presidency is learning how to talk on many different levels while communicating the same ideas. If you cannot say the general gist of an idea in layman's terms, how can one person ever implement that idea/spread it around the populace with varying degrees of intelligence and outlooks?

I think the move on Jon's part was beautiful. Obama started for the people, and he needs to remember where he is when he is speaking to the public.

OP, you definitely picked the right forum to place this thread in. US political madness. That's just what this issue is.

Literally half the population of the planet lives on less than US$1 per day, tens of thousands die every day from starvation and someone calling your president "dude" is what upsets you?

What an interesting perspective you have.

Darn, I actually voted for Oboma. I think "dude" expresses the discontent we have for "Mr. Change Not". Yes it's disrespectful. Oboma has failed us and we need to realize that...... he only has campaign skills. He is not a leader. He is a pretender.

Now, I respect my commander in chief to a point, but I don't respect a commander of weekly Hollywood gregarious behavior. He would rather court Beyonce' rather than our own critical state matters.

He must go. I am disheveled by his behavior. Ron Paul, please come on the scene. I am soooo regretful for my vote. Changed my status to Independent. Hope real change is on the horizon.

Looking forward to November 2nd.
