Arkansas officials condemn anti-gay comments on Facebook

Midland School District Vice President Clint McCance wrote on his personal Facebook page that he wanted gay people to commit suicide, according to The Advocate, a newspaper focusing on gay news. McCance used the terms "queer" and "fag" repeatedly, promised to disown his own children if they were gay, and stated that he enjoys "the fact that [gay people] often give each other AIDS and die."

Wow! And you wonder why our education is messed up... Because it's ran , in this case, by bigots.


The problem with that is that bigots are heavily biased toward their own sense of rectitude and thus don't have the ability to teach the impartiality which education requires.


Also, the thing which stands out is that folks who do this cause more harm to their cause because it shows the stance for what it truly is... Bigoted hate.

I agree Hunka hunka. S&F for you. Soon we'll start hearing from the gayhaters about this guys 1st amendment rights but his rights end where they encroach upon another's freedom in my book.

The fact he has a right to say something means only he can't be jailed for it

It doesn't mean he cant lose his job, friends, or family over it.... Because well thats all within their 1st amendment rights as well..

I want this guy to keep talking, because he makes a great poster child for the homophobe. Though i believe he should have nothing to do with our education.

Is the guy normally known for saying things like this? Could it be he is an idiot and got phished, or left himself logged in on his office computer?

It is possible sure, I don't know this guy, who knows these days right?
Only reason I thought about it was one of my friends recently got phished or hacked, and was saying the exact same kinds of things, right around the time that the dude committed suicide.

this kid obviously has homosexual issues he is dealing with. i am a completely straight guy and gay people don't make me the slightest bit uncomfortable. i don't care if they get married or not, either. people say the bible forbids it, and that's cool and all i mean don't marry a guy then. but america, this isn't a christian nation, just a majority of the citizens are christians. what this means is that we should not turn biblical law into federal law, not everyone here is a christian and that isn't fair. if you devote so much of your time to bashing homosexuality and crying about how two women shouldn't get married on the internet you do realize that homosexuality is controlling your life, and also obsessing you. if that is the case then maybe you got the tom cruise syndrome. i mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to explain why homophobes are actually overcompensating for their own gay thoughts. they did tests, if you never heard of them google it, where they showed a group of homophobic men and a group of straight men pornographic images both straight and gay. the men who weren't bothered by homosexuality showed no, ummm, "signs" of arousal during the homosexual scenes but the homophobic men did. this is a documented clinical test, not some garage adult experiment. really i mean with the problem of feeding billions of people they are actually combating overpopulation.. who cares what they do? let them live their lives and get on with your own.

I saw a thread just like that just yesterday on here. It's always the same thing, really- The OP of a Gay Agenda-Thread have seen some gay people on the TV or whatever and determined that they are taking over the Society together with NWO, because they are seen and displayed as much as the straight people are.

Tell me. Where did he encroach upon anothers rights by voicing his opinion? Do you want opinions to become illegal now?

I can do that also. Gays encroach upon my rights by shopping at the smae supermarket I shop at. I don't want their AIDS fingers touching on everything and their AIDS breath breathing on all the food.

Where is the encroachment? I don't think his comments caused any gay person to loose their right to homosexuality and forcefully to become straight...

He can say anything offensive he wants to IMO. That is one of the best rights we have! Not saying what he said is right, just that it is his right to say it. Flame all you want but just because someone says something super offensive doesn't mean we should start questioning his right to do so. Unless of course you don't enjoy having free speech yourself that is.

However I do think that his employer would be well within their rights to use this as an offense worthy of termination.

Yep, he had the right to say it and given his position with the school.board, I'm 100% sure that there's a clause in his contract that can get him termed for it. Every school board has contract clauses similar to this, where if disparaging or damaging comments are made (by a public official or employee) then the said person is GONE, end of story. He will resign or be fired by tommorrow, guarenteed. He's openly encouraging gay teenagers to commit suicide...sorry, you lose, you're fired. His comments can and are damaging to the district and the children within it and I would never want anyone like that on my child's school board.

Don't disagree with the fact that he has every right to express his beliefs, no matter how whacked they sound to others, but, he should certainly be removed from his position.

Its probably a good thing this happened.

I was listening to OutQ radio Michelangelo Signorile - - - when a gay guy from the area called in to his show. He had just recently moved to the area (he did not say why). He said he was friends with a few other gays from the area - and at least one who had previously attended this school.

They are all "in the closet" to anyone outside their circle - - because of fear of reprisal from citizens of this community. Clint is not alone in his sentiments.

Although - he also had some straight friends who were appalled by the public display of Clint.

So far this is the only statement I know of from Clint: McCance, the owner of a carpet and upholstery cleaning service, told the Arkansas Times that he couldn't comment because he has "a family to consider" but said the issue had been "blown out of proporation."

Thirty to 40 people have gathered outside Midland High School in Arkansas's Independence County on Thursday — some protesting, and some supporting, the actions of antigay school board member Clint McCance.

KTHV in Little Rock reports that "former students of the school, the gay and lesbian group UCA Prism from the University of Central Arkansas, and people from Little Rock and Fayetteville" are part of the protest.

There are also McCance supporters "waving American flags and the flag of the Baptist Church."
