Here is some background on the man.

As you probably know, "Herr Bremermann" was since 1989 Managing Director of Kissinger Associates.

Things that make you go...Hmmmmmmmm..........!

Before that , he was secretary of State Henry Kissingers' "Assistant" from 1972 to 1976, the years of Kissinger's worst Crimes Against Humanity in Cambodia and Laos, (without US Congressional Approval) slaughtering over 1 million human beings in South East Asia.

Bremer's links with the Billionaire Corporate America (Rockefeller Oil + the ever growing American Military Industial Complex) which effectively runs US foreign policy are at the root of his "service to his country" , representing US corporate interests serving very specific high ranking � family businesses� (can you say Haliburton? Can you say Cheney?) including Exxon-Mobil, J.PMorgan-Chase, Citigroup, IBM, ITT, Chevron-Texaco, etc., most of which are STILL represented diplomatically by Kissinger Associates to foreign governments financially controlled & influenced by Corporate Billionaire Tentacles.

This is why Paul Bremer III was appointed Governor of Iraq by Bush: Iraq is the latest addition to the Billionaire Boys Club.

Paul Bremer III was duly appointed Kissingers' Assistant Seretary of State from 1972 to 1976. By 1976 Kissingers' protege Nelson Rockefeller had risen to Vice-President to the then-interim president Gerald Ford, of "Warren Commission" Fame.

During these years Kissinger executed a US foreign policy that deliberately massacred millions of people in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, East Timor, Bangladesh, Angola, and Operation Condor in South America, which utilised Nazi war criminals controlled by the CIA to assassinate 30,000 "leftists".

As Kissingers' trusty and ever ready assistant, Paul Bremer III was up to his elbows in blood with the crimes of Americas'leading international corporate terrorist and arch War Criminal Kissy-Baby himself.

Also Bremer was for a time the head of the White House infamous 911 Investigation Committee, formerly chaired by Henry Kissinger who resigned because he didn't want to disclose his financial ties to Middle Eastern clients.

In plain English, Bremer is Kissinger's Little Gofer.

One month after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Bremer was named
chairman and chief executive of Marsh Crisis Consulting company, which
"advises companies on natural disasters, lawsuits and terrorism."

In other words, if you pay the right price to the right Republican-controlled offshore slush fund, your company won't have to worry about "lawsuits" or "terrorism."

The former "ruler" of US Occupied Iraq was Bush Appointee Jay Garner (remember him??!!) you know, the President of SY Coleman, a multi billion dlolar US Defense firm which specializes in Patriot missiles and which was incidentally awarded over $2 Billion contract this year to provide logistics support to US Special Forces. How nice to keep all that lovely money in the family !

SY Coleman is a subsidiary of L-3 Communications, the ninth-largest contributor to US political parties from the defence electronics sector.

Garner was the Pentagon's place man, directly answerable to General Tommy Franks, head of US CentCom.

This has been harped on by many as proof that the reconstruction work in Iraq is at best a "Pentagon Insiders Operation" and at worst an out and out US military occupation.

So our Mr Bremer ran like some frightened chicken from the fray (couldn't wait to get back to check his off shore bank balances, no doubt), leaving a civil war ravaged country with over 200 "edicts" from his royal pen which are anything but "democratic" in content.

What is worst of all, Mr Bremer, feeling White House pressure before his flight from the field of battle, has decided to unilaterally renew a decree granting its troops, as well as private American contractors, complete immunity from prosecution under Iraqi law !!!!!!!

The measure allows the US military as well as hired mercenaries to commit war crimes with impunity, including the killing of civilians, the destruction of homes and property, and the extra-legal detention and torture of prisoners.

The move epitomizes the arrogance and criminality of the Bush administration, which declares, in one breath, that it is granting �full sovereignty� to occupied Iraq, and in the next imposes conditions that deprive the �sovereign� government of the most essential prerequisites of sovereignty.........

I hope this opens your eyes a little to what is really going on......but I can readilly understand your naivete especially if all you watch is the corporate sponsored US news...

It should be very interesting to see how all this will play out...especially if more of the truth should ever leak out to the average American who wants desperately to believe in their leadership...for what they are worth.

There is something very strange about this. Besides the fact that they wanted to do the terrorists a "one up" I have a feeling there is more to this story than we know. I am glad it is done and I hope the Iraqis are able to meet the challenge. I think we have done all we can or should do. Over 800 American lives and $200 billion is a pretty high price to pay. In 6 months they will not have a democracy..they will be back where they were before. Not every breathing person wants a democracy..

Go back to the Vietnam war and see who made the money. Who supplied the military war machine. Friends of mine went to Vietnam and friends are now going to Iraq. Different war but the same types of people with their fingers in the war machine. War makes the economy grow, creates jobs and makes money for those chosen few. It also keeps money flowing to the special weapons contractors.

I suggest you go back and study history and you will see that there has been a military-industrial complex in our country since Ben Franklin's brother-in-law was given the contract to supply musket balls for the revolution.

You did however raise an interesting point about WAR and MONEY MAKERS in the US---and we all know about Benjamin Franklin's Masonic War-machine Connexions--- which didn't hurt his family any, at least financially.

Back to topic, custody of Saddam will be legally transferred to the new Iraqi interim government as of tomorrow. This from FOX news:

BAGHDAD, Iraq � The new Iraqi government will get legal custody of former dictator Saddam Hussein this week as it issued arrest warrants for him and 11 other "high-value detainees."

Even though Iraqis will now control Saddam's legal fate, U.S. forces will continue to be his jailers. Saddam will remain in a U.S.-run jail because Iraq doesn't have a suitable prison.

Fox News has learned from a high-ranking official in Iraq that on Thursday, Iraqi police officers will escort Saddam from his cell into another room, where he will appear before Iraqi justices and be read the indictments against him.

Why don't the Iraqis have any suitable prisons? Didn't Iraq have prisons under Saddam?

Well, yes they did. But every single one is now being used by the "Coalition" to house "terror suspects" indefinitely and without charge.

Why don't the Iraqis have any suitable prisons? Didn't Iraq have prisons under Saddam?

Why is this an issue? It's obvious that the US wants to ensure that Saddam will be available for trial, not murdered or escaped. Their definition of "suitable" may very well be different than yours.

As for the other terror suspects being held,it is now up to the IIG to determine their fate. There have already been hundreds of prisoners released from Abu Ghraib.

Or would you rather that the whole bunch of them be released immediately?
