Holy crap, people. It's a DOG. Look at it. No birds, UFOs, or Pixar product placement, here.

This is almost undoubtedly IMHO a goose ( or similar type of bird)coming into land or taking off. Here is a more side on goose but in a similar position . I think the wings are at clap position the head is straight on with the tail feather at the back seen on both sides of the goose and a under its body.

Being an avid hunter, my first thought is...clearly this is a shadow of a hunter standing with the barrel of his weapon pointed towards the ground and away from him/her as the shadow drags to the right...right to the edge of the photo. While I dont think this was a hoax or tampered jpeg. I do think it is an obvious misperception of a shadow casting.

Keep trying though and certainly be safe

Well that makes me a moron...Guess I needed to open the whole image...I retract my previous statement...Nice job mate...I cant explain it..

Wow this really does bother me, everybody has bitched for pages and pages about nothing at all, this is obviousley a shadow from the camera stand. Maybe I have missed something in the previous posts (but I doubt it), if so just ignore me, I truly believe there is better thing's to consider than this....

What really bothers me is when people make ridiculous complaints when they've obviously not even read a single page of the thread. The object (that has already been identified) was clearly not in the picture shown on the OP, but rather off to the right hand side when you bother to click on the link posted by the OP. Had you taken 30 seconds to scroll through a few posts, you'd have discovered this without making yourself look foolish. Next time take a minute to read over the material before you begin aimlessly bashing the actions of others.

Cheers,
Strype

Ok. Well first of all I grew up on a ranch in Texas, and I know how hunters like to play games and tricks when it comes to photography. Usually it takes place in reference to the 'size' of the animals they kill.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I took the original image and applied different filters to it, to try to get a better understand of the composition of the object. Enjoy.

A goose coming into land? lol, its not a goose. Secondly, whether or not its a goose depends on how far this location is from the water. If it is in Texas, more than likely its not a goose because most locations for hunting are not in a environment that will support Geese. Moreover, there is detachment from the body and head, as I have showed in the images I have just put up. The eyes of Geese do not reflect sunlight either. They are dark in color as well. If the right eye is reflecting due to its position relative to the sun, then why is the left eye reflecting as well if it is a reflection? It should not be due to the shadow that should be there. It is not 'undoubtedly' a Goose.

Nice illustration, pretty much settles it. Its obviously Donald Duck, no alien, no robots - just an average goose or duck. One can clearly see eyes, beak, wings and even feathers. IMO it looks like a swan due to the large black thing on its beak but it could be just shadow.

Totally agree with you m8.

It's quite embarrassing reading some of the posts on here.

Cringeworthy.

I agree it's a bird of some kind in flight.

I don't understand where you got your "under one second" from. No offense, just saying. After all, the three original images (before object, with object, then after object) posted by the OP in this thread all have time stamps on them and they show that way more than 1 second passed between the times the three images were taken. Around a minute, if I recall -- without digging back to find the exact figures.

But anyhow, the OP already stated some pages back that he has identified the object as a Blue Jay that's flying towards the camera.

Thank you for the thread, OP. Sure made for interesting reading. Like some other members have mentioned, in a case like this it would be helpful if members could at least read a fair selection of posts before adding theirs.

Regards,

Mike

Please don't use photoshop filters to alter an image, it doesnt make it any clearer and only adds more noise to the picture. also dont use sharpen, it wont make it clearer as to what it really is. you cant add information to a picture that isnt already there. it is impossible

you may have wached them do it on tv, but there is no such thing as Enhance.

Okay people.. I have the solution to what it is. I am now at home and have looked through the past pics from the game camera so as to find some object/creature that is similar in just colors, then I really studied the shape. I played with it in Paint for a few and then while taking in everything that those who really took the time to see what this might be into consideration it hit me. Everything Phage stated was correct. The object is closer than it appears and there is motion blur. I referenced the shadows just like some one else on here had done but I did it more accurately. I zoomed way in on it and studied it until it clicked.

What this is not:

turkey
cat
dog
robot
owl
rabbit
bee suit
person in camo
toy
deer
hog/pig
goose
baloon
feeder
trash blowing around
insect
camera glitch

I now know without a doubt what the "Glowing Eyes" are. Drummmm Rollllll.......

IT IS A BLUE JAY....

The colors gave it away.

Thank you for those who really tried to figure this out instead of dismissing it off as just some random object. It is definately the most unique game camera capture I have ever seen. I guess I should feel lucky to be the one who's camera it showed up on.

this is the answer!

case closed.

any thoughts on my Raccoon or similar animal? The bird idea is good, but it looks like it has two ears, I have used my artistic (laughs very, very loudly) skills to draw what i think i can see.....sort of:

That is what it looked like to me too, however the left shoulder disappears and there is just grass there, I almost think that it is an over exposure, the object might not belong in the picture? Reminds me of the JFK figure on the grassy knoll.
