This is the problem with Americans. You said:
there is everything wrong with importation of goods and services that means americans are not providing them and if they are not providing them
that are not creating wealth and if they arent not creating wealth they are not contributing to the economy which means a entire tax base
lost.
This doesn't make any sense in light of the fact that we're in a global economy with cheap labor. We can't go back to producing these goods because of
cheap labor. Atlanta is not just competing with Miami for jobs. Workers in Atlanta and Miami have to compete with India, China, Mexico and more.
So we can't have this pie in the sky attitude about production.
We will build our wealth through consumption and we will have credit and money flowing through the economy if we have a small and limited
government.
We will have more entrepreneurs and we will own more businesses that operate in the global economy.
There's no way that we can return to a production based economy because we're in a global economy with cheap labor.
Production is not the only way to create wealth. We would be sitting pretty if we had a 13 trillion dollar GDP and a 5-7 trillion dollar debt. The
problem is simple, it's big government. We wouldn't have these problems if we had a small and limited government.
I bring up Clinton because it wasn't about big government and the economy was booming. Poverty was lowered, unemployment was low, people were buying
houses and more. I made some good money during those years. If we keep a small government, we will be better than fine. This is because production
will be hit because of cheap labor.
We also can't cry about fair trade. Other countries will not give up their advantage just so we can compete. So we have to adjust and stop whining
about production because that train has left the station.
