I give up, i'm going to stay here at basecamp 200.

It'll take me years to get anywhere.

Not something I can just do on a whim I'm afraid. I was merely speculating on possibilities as a member who doesn't know very much about any recent developments outside of the debate forum, as that's been my recent focus.

This is easily explained via Wiki

Hindu scriptures divide karma into three kinds [34] :
Sanchita is the accumulated karma. It would be impossible to experience and endure all Karmas in one life. From this stock of sanchita karma, a handful is taken out to serve one lifetime and this handful of actions, which has begun to bear fruit and which will be exhausted only on their fruit being experienced. Hence, it is the sum of one's past karmas – all actions (good and bad) that follow through from one's past life to the next.
Prarabdha Fruit-bearing karma is the portion of accumulated karma that has "ripened" and appears as a particular problem in the present life.
Kriyamana is everything that we produce in current life. All kriyamana karmas flow in to sanchita karma and consequently shape our future.

Does this answer the question?

Mmm, I seem to remember already having some fun with this in the 2010 preview thread.

Here's SO's cryptic explanation: www.abovetopsecret.com...

I still don't see it in my profile.
Anybody else think "karma" is just a little, er, both silly and pretentious?
It COULD be bad Karma for ATS to use this term so flippantly.

Ah, then maybe you can pass along the suggestion to the PTB of ATS then?

This community could use a good, quick game just for fun!

I sure hope it isn't bad Karma, I'd be in pretty bad shape. I'm thinking that it might have to do with how many stars and flags we dole out, though I have no idea. Can we turn our "Karma" in for cash?

F( b sqrt(4a2-b2)/(2a) = a sin(B) = b sin(A)
P ( sqrt(a2+2b2)/2
M ( b sqrt(a[2a+b])/(a+b) = b sin(A)/sin(3A/2) = Karma

Its very simple really . The formula above is used to calculate Karma.

Simple..?! Then why did half of my synapses mis-fire after looking at your 'equation'..?

F = Flags ?

P = Posts ?

M = Mis-fired synapses..?

Egonomics is complicated.

Just an awesome quote

I think far too many are motivated exclusively by stars and flags and now.......karma.

looks like there may be a problem with this system, I've seen everyones number both go up and down. Perhaps it is not a problem but the number fluctuates up and down, just like 'karma' would depending on one's actions in life. Hopefully soon there will be an 'official' explanation.

edit: now it simply says calculating

I wish I could star peoples posts in this forum they realy made me chuckle! Then I would gain Karma too?

I think Airspoon is right, it is probably to do with stars and flags given or it will take into account alerts to mods and things.

Egonomics! I have found a way to make K1,000 per hour and now you can too! Just follow airspoons secret formula which he will sell you for 1,000,000 ATS points!

Note: After posting this I could see that the Karma was being calculated for everyone? Also my W rating has gone down even so they must have changed that formula too.
