Hi there,

I got a Warn... Darn it...

I feel it was a little unfair but what the hey… you have to deal with reality huh?

So my question is how long does a warn last and is there any other negative elements or modifiers to my status, other than the red Mark??

Geeze I feel like it's 25 years back and i'm in school

Consider it a baptism of fire.

Repent at leisure and before you know it, it will disappear.

I have been warned, i have been chat banned, gradually the T&Cs sunk in.

So don't feel too bad about it, you're not alone, been there done that.

No worries and thanks for the positive comments.

I don't feel bad about, though the Tc&Cs seem more complex than my mortgage fineprint

I don't disagree. Lawyers and such, you know. Everything's fun and games until an attorney's involved.
Actually it all boils down to basic common sense - be civil and honest. Everything else is detail. Sort of like the warning on the electric hedge trimmers to not use them to clip your toenails in the bathtub. The people who most need to be told that are the ones least likely to read the info.

It's the world with which we're stuck. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Having drafted several contacts... 'For the avoidance of clarity...'

For non- English law readers - this is usually drafted as 'For the unavoidance of doubt ' which naturally it never is...

Another more modern phrase is; 'For greater clarity...' which usually means; 'For greater uncertainty...;

Peace!

So far I have managed to avoid those little red warnings.
Have you noticed, that when a mod threatens to pass out
warnings,everyones' halos start glowing,including mine!
Then everyone scatters off the board like cockroaches back
into the woodwork!

Even through the faint haze of an inert gas, I can detect you have ample common sense and enough innate intelligence to hang in there and remain below the trouble threshold.
