To me, this whole thing smacks of a political hatchet job. Starting with the headline: "Woman's head stepped on by Rand Paul supporters". The video I saw showed ONE MAN put his foot on the woman's neck / shoulder / head, not "supporters". The surrounding "supporters" told him to stop, and he did.

Second, this thread seems to give us some insight into this woman's past, but what about "stompy"? Who is he? What is his background? Seeing someone holding someone else down by stepping on their neck makes me think of riot cops at a protest. That makes me think agent provocateur. How do we really know this guy is a Rand Paul supporter besides his shirt? I'd like to know more about that guy before I make any judgement there.

Third, even if this guy is an honest to goodness, card carrying tea party member and Rand Paul supporter, why portray him as the norm? The headline could have easily read: "Rand Paul supporters restrain suspicious woman; protect her from being harmed". OK, granted, that headline sucks too. I'm no newsman

The point being, if I put on an Obama t-shirt and knock over a liquor store, would the headline read, "Obama supporter kills Pakistani businessman"? I don't see why Rand Paul's name has to be included in this headline. What did he have to do with it?

You know SS the insanity is on both sides, and it is depressing that we don't get along on the forum with all the information that is posted everyday, we should have found common ground by now,

I still want to believe the majority of people on both sides are good.

Well...

It’s believed Tim Profitt worked for the Paul campaign, not just as a volunteer as once thought.

Since the incident last night, Paul's campaign dropped Profitt as campaign coordinator in Bourbon County in central Kentucky and banned him from future events.

thelastword.msnbc.msn.com...

So "stompy" was a Rand Paul campaign coordinator so he was directly involved in the Rand Paul campaign not just a supporter, which puts his candidate in a worse light than it normally would.

and to add:

Activist Lauren Valle suffered a concussion and sprained shoulder and arm in the incident after group of Rand Paul supporters wrested her to the ground.

So, she was actually injured for those out there that thinks this was just a love tap for some strange reason.

Oh really?

I am so surprised by people's cavalier attitude towards this incident, they blame the woman, saying she deserved it.

If this were a cop that did this, would you all have the same attitude?

Yes really.

You assume the woman who charged through a crowd in a threatening manner has functioning braincells.

No matter who the candidate is, one would have to be an absolute moron to go charging through a crowd of supporters like that. Given her political affiliation, her idiocy is clearly evident.

And this comes from someone who hates republicans and democrats.

You didn't bother to state she was another one of the Left Wing Whackos from Moveon.org, they are always there to incite problems for any conservative issue. If you think you're painting a grassroots movement black like the Tea Party your sadly mistaken. I don't consider myself a Tea Party person but I consider people like yourself the biggest part of the problem in this country. So who you workin for these days, Moveon.org, Acorn or some other Socialist/Marxist organization???

Has anyone even considered the fact that this is another stunt by the dems. How do we know those were actual Rand Paul supporters?maybe they were dems in disguise.TPTB agent provacatures to make it look like Rand Paul supporters are stomping on peoples heads.Theyve done it before and they'll do it again.American politics is a joke. Its the laughing stock of the world. There is no left there is no right people.Your all being played like fools for these chuckleheads. The tea party has been hijacked by goofballs like Sarah Palin and Newt Gindrich.Kristine O Donnell is the latest clown put out there to divide and conquer. When will Americans learn that this is all a circus of phoney drama designed to cause as much dissent and unrest between peoples , while TPTB just sit back and laugh. Peace.

???

Obviously you have a hard time reading.

Lauren Valle of liberal group MoveOn.org, told Louisville station WDRB she was trying to give Paul a fake award when his supporters took her to the ground.

news.yahoo.com...

I made sure to put that in the OP, but apparently you didn't read that.

Well, because the guy that stomped on her head was a Rand Paul Campaign Coordinator. That's why it leads me to believe that he wasn't a Dem plant

People just don't read do they? WOW!

I live in Ky and have no idea who I'm going to vote for. I am entirely against the Tea Party, but It's hard to say who is actually a Tea Party candidate and who has just aligned with them because they have to. I think I actually like Paul better than Conway, but I am more liberal...

eh anyway.. a lot of republicans are ignorant and violent (that's what makes them the ignorant masses party) but this had nothing to do with Rand Paul. I'm sure he wanted that girl to be stomped about as much as she did.

Doh!

Thanks for the info. Yeah, that's pretty bad. That does show a little poor judgement on Rand Paul's part, perhaps. At least, it seems, Mr. Paul took some appropriate action here. The rest is for a court to decide.

I've always been a big fan of Ron Paul. Maybe I let that cloud my judgement of his son to some extent. Still, I don't see this incident as indicitive of all Rand Paul supporters or the tea party in general.

Although that final stomp was completely out of line. I can see why they grabbed her, things happen fast for all they know she was gonna throw a bullet or a shoe at him. Also.. I watched the video. I seriously doubt she sustained a concussion.

Its obvious to me where your loyalties lie.So I'll stay away from this nightmare thread.I dont trust what I read half the time, especially from the maistream media or some liberal hack on an alternative website.I apologize if I hurt your feelings or didnt take your word as fact or didnt read your thread.Your missing the point I'm trying to make. While you all fight amongst yourselves and take sides, TPTB, which control both sides of the circus, just keep plowing ahead with their agenda, all the while watching all you gullible sheep run in one direction then another. All this madness in America will never stop because the vast majority of people cant even see these staged events for what they really are.A way to conquer and divide normally sane people.Who have now become insane.Enjoy the never ending fight until its to late to realize youve been had. Peace.
